Design changes on Local Lord report system
This entry i write about a realtive new system i ading to my mod: Local Lord Entitys and report system that linked to it.

First what is Local Lord Entity?

its a representation of a hold local law enforcment, aka local police, and local populus. This ment to react slavery operation and respond it some way.
The Local Entity react to player actitivtys only, i made this decision for 2 reasons:
1 - its more in line with all the other design decision in the game, nothing moves unless player moves it, or push to move it!
2 - Slaver guild and other slaver realted entitiys can cover own tracks well, if they not able to do it, well they no longer exist any way.

What this Local Lord does?

if player particapte any slavery realted activity the local police start collect evidence aginst the player, and the slaver base where slaves get sent when captured.
Ower time time the evidence reach a critical point that point the local lord ( jarl ) recuit band of adventurers and send it to the player or the place that do lot of slavery.
This Strike team can be captured by slavers or the player of corse, can be killed. This to ending means the strike team failed to archive its objective so ower time new strike team sent to finish the job.
if player is the target the team try arrest it or player need pay a fine.
if a slaver base the target well... they free all the slaves in slaver base and kill all the local slaver unless player stop them. Player has few hours to stop this!

What player can do aginst Local Lords?

Nearly nothing. The local lords if player involved deep in slavery ower time send a strike force aginst the player. Only question of time.
the evidence aginst player ower time lose its value so evry week some evidence considered out dated and removed.
Of corse a fully fleged slaver player not going wait few months to let evidence cleared on its head.
Other thing player can do is report the ring of zenithar or Slaver guild provide evidence aginst them, their bases. this will trigger a strike aginst slaver bases.
This can be used aginst the slaver guild or Ring Of Zenithar as the Local Lord strike teams do the dirty job instead the player.
Be aware if you are enemy to the Slaver guild they can do the same: produce fake or real evidence aginst the player...
Shady Figures has key role about this game mechanics: they can buy evidence from player and sell the locals, or they can sell evidence aginst the slaver guild to player.
Plus The shady figures keep track any non legal activity buy and sell player does trought them. If player not payed enught gold to shady figure or shady thinks player no longer a good source of gold they happy to sell player dirty secrests to the local lords for gold....
Player only defense aginst Shady figure and Slaver guild or Ring of Zenithar Reports if the player it self file reports aginst them! When player turn in evidence aginst any of the Slaver related organization local authoritys trust more and more on player. if the trust level on player higher then the evidence fake or real presented to them the locals not belive the evidence is real.
Of corse ower time the evidence errode the trust on player...
As dear reader can see this system its a bit complex in the working. This system aim to provide feed back to player: its actions has consiqences. Plus provide another tool to fight aginst slavery, if chose to do so.
This design may change a lot as done trought the devlopment so far. But i consider mostly final.Game play test might reveal some issues with the design, that case changes made accordingly.
