Spoiler

Luxia went alone in search of Florentuis.
She ends up finding him, struggling with a magician who had bewitched the other guards.
Fortunately for Luxia who was a succubus, the spells of charm and bewitchment had no effect on her.
She easily eliminated the magician by absorbing his vital energy and brought Florentuis safely back to Dawnguard Fort.

Zilphia: "I tried to understand it too. Sometimes I just think they do it to blame others when they are wrong in their actions."

Luxia:

These dear mortals always try to understand us.
They are fascinated by our complex nature.
It’s always been like this, dear.
The other day, dear Isran tried in vain to know my secret name.

Zilphia: "Uuuuh! What did he hope to achieve from it? I would hope that he didn't want to take advantage of this. Mortals can be really predictable sometimes."

Zilphia: "As you say, Lady Luxia - we all have very individual personalities and the more controversial we are, the more of a mystery we are for them."

Very nice chapter, but another malus entry in the succubus-is-not-naughty list, unfortunately cannot be avoided because she does not shamelessly exploit a man's blindness! 😇😈

= Luxia simply too good for this world (wink) 😁

I guess it's easier and more convenient to worship gods that do not answer. For one, those that make up the ground crew can simply claim whatever they want to be the will of the god(s), which makes controlling the masses so much easier. Imagine the high priest standing at the altar proclaiming his ... erh the gods will and then the statue behind him goes "Aaaactually...", he would be lucky if he is just out of a job after that. 😛
