Who is singing and what and why?
 

One would assume a vampire lady with a couple thousand years under her belt exercise more self-discipline, but perhaps sleeping for so long eroded her willpower pretty completely.

Not see a thing? While technically true in unmodded Skyrim I would think (and darkly remember it being actually mentioned in the lore) that Vampires as creatures of the Night, should have near perfect night vision ... what are those glowing eyes good for otherwise? 
Of course that leaves Luxia, but basically Succubi are somewhat of a night creature and even if not I'm certain she knows a spell to help.
Of course it's much more interesting for the reader to see the beauty of the Vale in bright daylight ... so not complaining, just couldn't help nitpicking, sorry.

Anyway it was a nice story arc, thank you for it ... so she can be strong if she wants to be, given her performance before the final confrontation, it makes me wonder. Does she not wish to be strong most of the time? Prefers to be protected/rescued? Perhaps even submissive at heart? Might explain her preferences for rough sex and weakness vs. the Falmers.

Yes logical level, it’s a bit strange. I admit.
I could have put no sex.
But sex is what attracts readers the most. Especially with Serana.
