this kind of feels like like Serana became the dragonborn's wife after they retired (not through marriage because she hates temples) and she and him got some kids (hearth fire) and she got him to pretend to be Santa for them for Saturelia (Christmas season for nirn). and she made him a nice surprise present for him as he came down stairs. *(herself)
