Date of Birth: 1923

Status: Alive

Romantic Interest: Rosa Trapani

Traits: Family-Oriented, Determined, Independent

Update: Cunning, Disillusioned, Determined, Independent

Final Update: Mafia Boss, Cunning, Determined, Manipulative, Visionary

Initial Bio and Update One

Spoiler

Born in Willow Creek to Alfredo and Vincenza Scaletta, Vito is the eldest child in his family.  Growing up during Great Depression sharpened his wits and chiseled his character as Vito watched his parents endure hardship after hardship as members of the working class.

Vito's conflict with his father began in his adolescent years as the latter's degenerative gambling and drinking created a schism between Vito and his mother.  His strained relationship with his father influenced Vito's decision to enlist in WWII, which was looked upon unfavorably by nearly everyone in Vito's life.

Upon returning from Germany and learning of his father's death, Vito promised himself that he would be the man his father used to be as opposed to the man his father became.  As such, he became even more protective of his mother and his kid sister, Frankie.

Update: Firmly entrenched as an associate of the Falcone Crime Family and as a drug dealer, Vito has become disillusioned with the life of crime.  Despite his newfound wealth, Vito becomes estranged from his mother and Frankie, the former of whom greatly disapproves of the person Vito has become.  The resulting dissonance has led Vito to question whether his new life validates the sacrifices he has had to make to his family.

Vito has forged a strong relationship with Vinci Family consigliere, Leo Galante, whom he views as a surrogate father.  Under Leo’s guidance, he has learned about the nuances of mob life which has offered Vito varying perspectives on life both within and away from the Family.

Final Update

Spoiler

From a war hero and loving son to the Godfather of Willow Creek, Vito has slowly become the man he swore he would never be.  Upon murdering Carlo Falcone, Vito, along with his new consigliere, Leo Galante, devised the assassination of the remaining four Willow Creek bosses, cementing his status as the youngest mafia don the criminal underworld has ever seen.

What was once a way to survive has now become a way of life for the new don.  Vito, perhaps consumed with power, has idealistic visions of grandeur for Willow Creek and the drug trade, claiming that “narcotics are the future”.  After the events of “ The Godfather of Willow Creek”, Vito begins formally working with the Simkuza as the sole transporter and distributor of cocaine in Willow Creek as the other families are left to pick up the pieces to which Vito has laid waste.

His transformation from a quiet and caring young man into a cold, cunning mob boss has already created an isolation with his mother and younger sister, Frankie; the future is likely to scrutinize all of the personal relationships that Vito developed upon his return from Europe.

Spoiler

Date of Birth: 1927

Status: Alive

Traits: Naive, Optimistic, Introverted, Diffident

Update: Disenchanted, Unsure, Betrayed, Ashamed

Frankie was born a few years before the Great Depression and represents a significant financial strain on the family.  Despite being loved and cared for, Frankie most heavily felt the effects of her father's drinking and the trauma it caused her mother.  She never had a chance to fully develop a relationship with either parent and leaned heavily on her older brother, Vito, for support.

A starry-eyed teenager, Frankie struggles to develop or maintain relationships, often spending her time confined within the family's apartment.  Her time at college has finally offered her the exposure to society that she did not have as a child.  She still maintains a loving relationship with her brother, Vito, despite not agreeing with his decision to enlist.

Currently, she is enrolled in Britechester University and aspires to become a teacher for primary school children.

Update: Frankie has experienced one of the sharpest arcs of all of the characters in The Simsfather.  Once a naive teenager who viewed the world through a rose-colored lens, her perception of the world and her place in it has become distorted.  After relentlessly defending her brother to their mother, Frankie learns that their mother was right all along after her boyfriend, Eric Reilly, was attacked by Vito’s button men in retaliation for what Eric did to Frankie in “When Danger Approaches”.

In an attempt to preserve what is left of the family, Frankie still adores her big brother. However, she realizes that the brother she loves so dearly is dissipating into a cold, unyielding mafia don.

Joe Barbaro

Date of Birth: 1920

Status: Alive

Traits: Pugnacious, Gregarious, Loyal, Player

Final Update: Captain, Pugnacious, Gregarious, Loyal, Player, Hot-headed

Initial Bio and Update One

Spoiler

Joe is the childhood best friend of Vito.  Viewed as Vito's older brother, Joe always kept an eye on Vito in school and made sure that no one picked on him; he even initiated a few fights if he perceived the slightest amount of disrespect towards his best friend.  As an adult, Joe has dipped his nose into less than reputable ventures, which can be attributed to his pugnacious nature.

Quick with both a word and a gun, Joe plays as hard as he works which has created a small reputation for the towering Willow Creeksman as a thrill-seeker and womanizer.  Joe is fiercely loyal to those around him which has earned him the undying love and respect of his best friend, Vito.

Update: Joe has maintained his playful and care-free nature, while becoming more aggressive in his attitude towards the business.  This is evident after Joe becomes a made man in the Falcone Family, upon being referred by Leo Galante.

As a made man, Joe has been extremely proactive in earning the trust of Don Carlo Falcone, planting himself in the heart of the family’s rackets.  He has proven to be a strong earner, supplementing his income with the side business of drug dealing.

During the Vinci-Falcone conflict, Joe joyfully carried out numerous hits against members of the Vinci Family.  Some may say that Joe is truly comfortable during times of conflict rather than peace.

After learning of the Simkuza’s involvement in Henry Tomasino’s death, Joe hastily kills Simkuza boss, Che Hu Hong, which threatens to cause another war.

Final Update

Spoiler

After choosing his friendship with Vito over loyalty to Falcone, Joe has been made chief captain in the newly formed “Scaletta Family” and will act as Vito’s eyes and ears on the streets of Willow Creek.

Still possessing the fierce loyalty and ruthlessness that nearly got the duo killed, Joe and Vito present a formidable duo that the underworld has yet to see.  He played an instrumental part in “Endgame”, as he carried out a hit on former boss, Ernesto Clemente, and abducted Steve Coyne; the latter was killed and drowned as retribution for the murder of Vito’s father, Alfredo.

Maximo “Scopes” Scarpetti

1267805922_ScreenShot2022-01-03at10_45_26PM.png.77690468868cb489e059bc7b949ae3a9.png

Spoiler

Date of Birth: 1921

Status: Alive

Traits: Foodie, Marksman, Disillusioned, Loyal, Funny, Brutal

“Scopes” Scarpetti served with Vito starting from their deployment in Italy to the Battle of the Bulge before the latter was honorably discharged due to an injury.  Described by Vito as “the best shot in our company”, Scopes was the squad sniper with over 15 confirmed kills during the invasion of Normandy alone.

Scopes was secretly recruited by Leo Galante at the insistence of Vito before “Just Like Old Times”.  He played a key role in providing overwatch while his former brother in arms killed Carlo Falcone.

His conversation with Vito in Just Like Old Times implies that Vito was made squad leader as a reward for the latter’s handling of the “situation in Carentan”. At the very least, Vito held the rank of Staff or First Sergeant.

While he has a calm exterior, Scopes maintains a fiery temper that comes out if he is pushed enough.  As a renowned story-teller and cook, Scopes Scarpetti has endeared himself to Vito and earned a role within the latter’s “inner sanctum”.

Date of Birth: 1925

Status: Alive

Traits: Alluring, Romantic, Loyal, Family-Oriented, Nurturing, Dependable

Initial Bio and Update One

Spoiler

Nothing is yet known of the mysterious girl who appeared outside of Sonny's diner.

Update: The second oldest of a four child family, Rosa and her family escaped Italy after her father was marked for death by the local mafia.  The Trapanis arrived in Willow Creek in late 1944. Since her arrival, Rosa spends most of her time caring for her parents in their home in Pendula View.

While she has been hardened by her experience as a refugee, Rosa still maintains her earthly and nurturing qualities, combining a womanly touch with a razor’s edge mindset.  Her soft-spoken voice, Italian accent, figure and subtle mannerisms are enough to seduce any man; but make no mistake, Rosa is not your traditional, by-the-book housewife. As was once said, “In Sicily, women are more dangerous than shotguns.”

Rosa is the current romantic interest of Vito Scaletta.

Final Update

Spoiler

Update: Enamored with Vito, Rosa will do anything for her partner as she remains firmly devoted to their relationship.  However, she does experience internal conflict as she discovers that Vito had ordered an attack on Eric Reilly, a civilian, who is the boyfriend of Vito’s sister, Frankie.  Despite consoling Frankie, she becomes horrified after being on the wrong side of Vito’s outburst when she questions him about the attack.

While she is shocked by the man Vito is becoming, Rosa remains steadfast in her loyalty to him. She knows that her place is to be the central figure of their family as opposed to that of “The Family”.

Rosa is currently engaged to Vito Scaletta.

Che Hue Hong

Spoiler

Date of Birth: N/A

Status: Alive Dead

Traits: Gang leader, N/A

Hong is a leader of the Simkuza, Willow Creek Chapter.  Henry Tomasino does business with the Simkuza in Chapter 6.

After successfully marking their friend Henry Tomasino for death, Hong is executed by Joe after the former refuses to disclose where Henry’s money from the failed drug deal had gone.  Hong’s death nearly triggered a full-scale war between the Simkuza and Falcone’s family, the latter of which was embroiled in a stalemate with Frank Vinci’s family.  His death prompted the ultimatum that Vito received from Leo Galante - kill Carlo Falcone or be killed yourself.

Carlo Falcone

Spoiler

Date o f Birth: 1893

Status: Alive Dead

Traits: Gang Leader, Firm, Cold-Blooded, Business-like, Irrational, Paranoid

A shrewd businessman and even more ruthless boss, Carlo Falcone tends to run his empire with fear.  He can still recognize a profitable business opportunity, however, as he allows Henry, Joe, and Vito to freely operate their drug business in exchange for a cut of the proceeds.

Falcone’s most detrimental quality is that he is extremely egotistical.  The slightest perception of disrespect can cause the crime boss to act irrationally and violently.  Regardless, he is one of the most powerful men in Willow Creek and one to be reckoned with, at that.

Update: Upon entering into a war with the Vinci Family, Falcone eventually found himself in a stalemate that he could no longer justify to The Commission, which is the governing body of the mafia.  As such, Falcone had gone into hiding several weeks before the events of “Just Like Old Times”.

It is revealed that Falcone was hypocritically involved in drugs and knew the true nature of Vito’s, Joe’s and Henry’s business.  Consumed by greed, Falcone stated before his death that the other families intended to kill Vito and that Henry’s exposure as an informant along with the survival of Leo Galante was all the ammo needed to sanction a hit on Vito. Coincidentally, Falcone’s greed is the only thing that kept Vito alive as the latter was kicking up substantial money during the Falcone-Vinci conflict.

Despite his exile and his offer to Joe Barbaro, Falcone meets his fate by the hands of his associate, Vito Scaletta, creating a power vacuum in Willow Creek for the first time in nearly 50 years.

Nick Alto

Spoiler

Date of birth: 1910

Status: Alive

Traits: Tactician, Violent, Cold-blooded, Confident

As the former underboss of Carlo Falcone, Nick simply bided his time as he predicted that the beleaguered boss would force himself out of the criminal underworld, whether by the hand of another family or by The Commission.

Enticed by Vito’s vision and ambition, Nick agreed to forgo the death of his don and become the former’s new underboss. Nick is a calming force as his emotions are always in check, sometimes chillingly so.

Nick is also a devoted family man who works tirelessly to keep his family separate from his business affairs.

Leo Galante

460216074_ScreenShot2022-01-03at11_21_08PM.thumb.png.164225a46c4af176727fbd35e994b6be.png

Spoiler

Date of Birth: 1887

Status: Alive

Traits: Diplomatic, Cunning, Intelligent, Calm

Leo Galante is the long-time consigliere, or advisor, to Willow Creek boss, Frank Vinci.  A wise and cunning individual, Leo has thrived in the mafia for nearly 35 years, having never been arrested or tried in court; in fact, his operating habits tend to not generate much press or negative attention, which has enabled him to last as long as he has.

His responsibilities include strategy in times of war, and negotiating in times of peace.  Leo’s demeanor makes him a perfect candidate for the position of consigliere, a job in which he takes “great pride.”

He and Vito have developed a friendship resembling that of Father and Son.  Vito has since described Leo as having a “fatherly”element.

Update: After coming out of retirement, Leo visits Vito in “An Ultimatum” to give him his last salvation - murder Carlo Falcone.  After Vito successfully carries out the hit, Leo, impressed with Vito’s skill and vision, decides to take Vito under his wing and become his consigliere.  He and Vito shrewdly devise the assassinations of the four remaining Willow Creek bosses, cementing Vito as the criminal underworld’s youngest boss.

Leo views Vito as his son and was actually deeply touched when Vito risked his life to save Leo in “Blood is Thicker Than Water”.

Frank Vinci

Spoiler

Date of birth: 1884

Status: Dead

Traits: Former gang boss, Ruthless, Emotionally Intelligent, Disciplined

As the last old-school boss of Willow Creek, Frank Vinci was the one boss that Vito did not have killed out of respect to his mentor, Leo Galante.  Rather, Frank’s death was contracted to the Simkuza in exchange for a one-time deal of immunity.  It was not a death in which either man took great joy, but one they knew was necessary if Vito were to enact his vision regarding the trafficking of drugs.

After Leo’s “retirement”, Frank and Carlo Falcone were embroiled in a destructive six month war that culminated in Falcone’s assassination by the hands of Vito.  A disciplined and focused don, Frank Vinci was the one boss to whom Vito seriously considered defecting as the former saw the potential in the latter, drug trade notwithstanding.

Cosimo Cappa

C34A7E1B-782A-434B-9762-6DFE2E5C0E38_4_5005_c.jpeg.bf9864f715ac8740cfbcba0dc32468b8.jpeg

Spoiler

Date of Birth: 1905

Status: Alive Dead

Traits: Gang leader, Honorable, Businessman, Ruthless, Outgoing

Coming from a humble background, Cosimo entered the criminal underworld at the age of 16 as a way to provide for his family.  Working for the local don, Cosimo rose through the ranks, relying on his diplomacy and shrewdness to eventually become the head of the family.

He is the most principled out of the five bosses and only resorts to violence if there is no other alternative; when necessary, Cosimo has shown that he is unafraid of being unapologetically brutal, which has contributed to his legend.  As one of the wealthiest bosses in Willow Creek, Cosimo has significant ties to legitimate business enterprises and often rubs shoulders with Willow Creek's political elite; he is as untouchable as a mob boss can be.

The Cappas (read Capps) were once great friends and allies of the Monterelli (read Monty) family until the Great Depression saw both clans sever ties.  Since then, both Cosimo and his contemporary, Valentino Monterelli, have maintained personal and professional rivalries.

Update: Cosimo is killed via poisoned “pufferfish” during a dinner with his wife, Andrea, and political friends, Ichabod Crane and Wilson Fisk.

Valentino Monterelli

7D8E03E0-43CC-4B5F-A8E8-93AF64B90D90_1_201_a.jpeg.95645802ddb975be1e0015e8351d5bdf.jpeg

Spoiler

Date of Birth: 1906

Status: Alive Dead

Traits: Gang leader, Passionate, Charismatic, Dirty Fighter

Boss of the Monterelli Crime Family, Valentino also came from humble beginnings.  He and Cosimo Cappa did their first work together in the late teens during the economic upheaval that followed The Great War.  During the 20s, the Monterellis and the Cappas severed ties and became archenemies, a rivalry which has persisted into Valentino's adult life.

Valentino is known for his fiery temper and penchant to fight in an underhanded manner.  He is not one to abide by a code of conduct and is the complete antithesis from his rival, Cosimo.  He does, however, inspire tremendous loyalty in those who know or work for him, a trademark to his natural ability as a charismatic leader.

Update: Upon making his way to the peace meeting called by Leo Galante, Valentino and two of his capos are assassinated in the lobby of Valentino’s hotel.  The hitmen, Nick Alto and Vincenzo Grosso, were disguised as maintenance men as part of Vito’s plan to wipe out the four remaining bosses of Willow Creek.

Ernesto Clemente

Spoiler

Date of Birth: 1894

Status: Alive Dead

Traits: Deceptive, Foodie, Clubber

Considered the weakest boss out of the five, Ernesto Clemente maintains the weakest family in Willow Creek - at least to an untrained eye.  Clemente utilizes maligned perceptions of his family to his advantage, often lulling his enemies into a false sense of security before striking.  Despite his diminutive stature, Clemente has carved out quite a reputation for himself as he has held his own alongside the other bosses for nearly 20 years.

He is considered a patron of the "arts" as he is often seen frequenting his own brothels and underground casinos.  The Clemente Family also maintains a significant shylock presence in Willow Creek.

Update: Ernesto and a sex worker that was servicing him were both murdered by Joe Barbaro.  It would appear that the mob boss’ love of the “arts” is what got him killed.  At least Ernesto got to have one final dance before his death.

Derek Pappalardo & Steve Coyne

Spoiler

Date of Birth: 1897

Status: Alive Dead

Traits: Domineering, Stone-Hearted, Deceptive

Derek oversees the docks of Evergreen Harbor and has been aligned with the mafia in Willow Creek for nearly 20 years.  He controls the flow of imports/exports and kicks a percentage of the taxed goods to the different bosses, depending with whom he is doing business with at that time.

As the former employer of Vito’s dad, Alfredo, Derek has expressed to Vito that his father was a strong worker whose death “greatly affected him.”

Update: Revealed as a co-conspirator in the death of Alfredo Scaletta, both Derek and Steve Coyne went into hiding.  Derek was deceived by Vito into thinking that the latter was unaware of the former’s treachery only to be kidnapped and killed in Evergreen Harbor by Vito and his new button men.

In a twist of poetic justice, both Steve and Derek were killed and thrown into the harbor with bricks tied around their ankles, avenging Alfredo’s death.

You NAILED the look of the sims, they look just like in Mafia.

Thanks! I actually pulled the majority of them from the gallery.  I gave make overs to all of them using CC. The other two bosses are actually remakes that I created of the Montys and Capps from Sims 2!

Vito’s family were also created by me!
