I want to set down some thoughts on the Girl In A Jar project. Where I am, where I want to go, what needs doing and what might be nice to have. There's a very high ramble-to-boob ratio in this one, so consider yourself warned :)

 

The The spell to put the girls in a jar is working, more or less. The "in a jar" part works flawlessly, it's just that a minute or two later, something pops them out of their idle and they revert to the ZAZ cuffs kneeling idle. This started happening after I replaced the static part-of-the-furniture cuffs with AnimObjects that would adjust to the girl's actual position (hey - there's no cross to attach to, so I can afford to be flexible about where it's supposed to be, right?) So probably there's a bondage enchantment or a keyword carried over from the mesh or AO object I used as a base. Could also be PAHE enforcing the last command I issued.

 

The cuffs themselves don't always appear, either. I think this might be related to something they're already wearing, but I'm having problems getting definitive answers. Probably set up a line with different combinations and see what the results are.

 

For the jarred girls, I have a perk that stops you talking to them (which seems silly) but gives you options to pick up the jar, have sex with the inhabitant, or change what they're wearing. Quite why having sex and changing clothes is less silly than talking to them is something I'm going to have to work on, but I like the objectification of it all.

 

The sex part works, to an alpha level anyway. You go to the jar cell, have sex and come back again. I've been experimenting with fade to black effects and summon portals to try and mask the transition, but it still looks a little clumsy. Well see what can be done.

 

The pick up part works nicely apart from the fact that it leaves the circle of words behind. This is a problem across the board and needs looking. The jar goes into the inventory as a misc item. I can't use the image of the actual girl, so I rename the jar so you know who's in it. I want to set up a billboard node in there with a static image of a girl maybe one for each race so they look roughly right. A billboard node always faces the player, and inside that I can add a plane with the image and it'll look good enough for something that you're never going to get a good look at in the first place. The girl gets disabled and moved to a storage cell until the jar is dropped. Which still hasn't stopped my test girl from catching up with me three cell loads later. Again, I think this is the PAHE follow code at work. I think full on dependency on PAHE is going to be unavoidable - not that there are a lot of player slaver mods that could work with this in any case.

 

Putting them back again is harder. Currently, dropped jars don't actually drop but just hang in mid air. I think that's because the mesh was originally a static (the XCross furniture to be exact) and I pasted the jar into the nif. So maybe if I paste the contents back into a bugjar nif, the problem will go away. The code to release the girl (get the actor ref from the jar's script property, move to jar position, enable, reapply the idle just in case, disable and delete the jar) isn't working ... but now I think on it, I think I probably forgot the OnDrop Event handler.

 

If i get this right, you'll be able to keep surplus harem members stashed in a chest somewhere, and just get out the girls you feel like playing with. Useful for coping with the Pokemon Trainer Syndrome.

 

Other things. I was trying to set up a pic for that inventory billboard, so I traveled to the black cell I'm using for jar sex ... and of course it was pitch black. I mean really. So lit a slaver's candle ...

... and I think she looks quite striking in red.

 

Anyway, I think I'll use a red lit cell to set up some sex screenshots and/or video clips. One of the things I want to do for the jar cell is, from time to time, have huge, fornicating couples briefly fade in through the dark and then fade out. I want to give the impression that this pocket oblivion space is filled with sexual activity - or possibly that time is twisted back on itself here and you sometimes catch glimpses of past (and maybe future) users of the jars, all hard at it. Setting up actors to have sex and only become visible sounded like a tough thing to set up, and I've been putting it off, but if I can get this billboard thing to work, that should be perfect for the task.

 

Questline.

 

Still planning the basic mod to be a scavenger hunt collecting the seven original jars made by Korneum. I'm thinking of having Farengar be the primary quest giver. I kind of want to make the option only appear after Dragon Rising so it can appear to be a follow on mission to Bleak Falls Barrow, but knowing how often I put the main quest off until level 50 or so, I'll probably want a way to access it before that. And I think for each jar that gets found, more research materials crop up and Farengar (and the player) learn a bit more about the jars and gain some useful spells or perks. I'm thinking Rune spells to imprison the victim in on magic cross for a time, or a stronger version that just puts them in a jar. There's the basic jar capture and jar release spells to put girls in and out of jars (probably make them only work on slaves or restrained targets) and I might spread the perks out a bit, so being able to dress up you jar girls would be a late benefit. Maybe an option to change the virtual furniture in the jar, so it doesn't always have to be x-cross pose, maybe one to change the color scheme so everything doesn't need to be green. Maybe an option for vampires to kick off a sexual vampire feeding animation so they could carry around their blood bank in convenient jar form.

 

Also, I'm thinking of a soft dependency on Simple Slavery so that if they get caught in one of those new rune spells, they get sold off at auction. Possibly after finding out what it's like to be on the receiving end of the jar treatment.

That's nicely dim, maybe fuzz it up a little and add some mist at the edges, not that it's hugely necessary.

 

I just noticed the square thing over her head - I wonder what it is? Probably some animobject furniture instance. Speaking of which, some of these at least should probably be wearing mage cuffs. Green or red, I wonder.

Different pose. Hopefully this is going to be more or subliminal.  As in, you'd expect the player's attention to be mainly on the girl in front of them.

 

Of course, if someone ends up in a jar as a victim, they may have rather more time to observe the surroundings. Not that I want to get too deeply into the submissive side of things in this mod.

Nice little BJ pose there. These are all just my PC boning one slave, mainly with animations from FunnyBizness and Billyy. I think I'll want a selection of body types as well as poses. I could end up using a lot of pics here if I want to make this seem plausible,

I also tried take some of these from up above or down below. Not that it seems particularly noticeable. Maybe that's a good thing, given what I want to do with them.

Of course, this does ignore the problem of how that solid black is going to look in a transparent menu

Maybe I should be screenshotting against a green screen (well maybe not green in this case) and converting the screen color to alpha. And maybe lose the jar. Or rather let the model provide the jar and just put a billboard inside it, the way it works with the moths and butterlies.

Oh, and I was right. I did forget the "OnDropped" event. Dejarring works just fine if I add that.
