Cyberpunk 2077 part 2
Naked catgirl in the spoiler below, but this will be a continuation of my last entry and is basically the "review" of Cyberpunk 2077 to go with my first impressions in the last one so be warned nthere will be spoilers to the story in this entry you've been warned.
So first things first in my first impressions I said that based on them I'd give the game a 6-7/10 after playing it to (almost) completion I'd give it a 6/10. I did encounter a few more bugs but again they're annoying rather than game breaking, although something has fucked up on a second character I created to explore the other prologues as well as try making a stealth character where some of my side quests had a delay to them triggering a phonecall you're supposed to get to give you the overall summary of what the quest was meaning I've now got a completed side quest still in my quest log and can't get rid of it, so I can't really comment too much on anything like that. However speaking of stealth, I initially said I found that stealth was fine but after utilising it on a "dedicated" stealth character I've found it to be more frustrating than I did originally, basically I've found that enemies have been able to see me through walls (which admittedly isn't too outlandish for Cyberpunk) or have my character randomly stand up ending stealth mode on top of them somehow psychically being able to find bodies that I couldn't hide despite being nowhere near the area the body was in.
As for the story, it starts out strong but gets weaker as you get through it to the point where I couldn't stomach continuing (I have one mission and probably an epilogue left to go, I have no desire to play brain surgery patient simulator 2k20) and while the thing with Johnny Silverhand is a decent twist (he's dead but his mind was digitised and is now, through no fault of his own and against his and V's wills, taking over V's body) as the game went on I started to feel that having him in the game was an overall detriment to the story and I feel the writers felt compelled to make him a central character because he is Keanu Reeves, don't get me wrong Keanu does a good job as Johnny Silverhand but towards the end of the game I started to feel like he became the writer's pet and could do no wrong to the point where in the decision I had to make I apparently chose the "wrong" option (even if the option I chose would have led to just V's death if things went wrong as opposed to the deaths of V's friends as well) and the game pretty much hammered me over the head with this "fact" giving us a choice and then telling us we made the wrong choice is not good writing. On top of that I felt like they killed Jackie, Dexter DeShawn and T-Bug (the netrunner you work with for act 1) too early in the game, Jackie and Dex are both actually very good characters and I would have liked to do more than one job with the both of them (well two since I went with Nomad for this playthrough) hell I wouldn't even have made Johnny dead for the start of the game, maybe have him as the 5th member of your group and it would mean they could have given T-Bug a unique appearance (seriously she looks like every generic netrunner enemy you fight) and if they absolutely have to die kill them at the end of act 2, hell I really liked Jackie and Dex and found them far more enjoyable to be around in game then Johnny. One good point though is how all the prologues are linked to the main story since they all involve Arasaka in some way (Nomads are smuggling a package stolen from Arasaka, Streetkinds stealing a car that belongs to an Arasaka exec and Corpos working for Arasaka) but for the most part I felt that only Corpos have any dialogue options (your chosen origin can give you dialogue options) that have any impact on any dialogue in the story.
I think I had other stuff to say but it might have been covered in my first impressions, this "review" but I decided That it was mostly going to be about teh story and my issues with it and Johnny Silverhand.
Anyway the naked catgirl, I fantasia'd my main in FFXIV into a Miqo'te.
