I just read a review of Sex Slaves which explained some things to me; that for some/many/most players, PC slavery content:

Which seems to say most people want the non-consensual style. Which does explain why it's so prevalent and why lots of the mods I thought I would love I actually don't. I want my PC to have a nice life, to feel safe, to be respected for what she does, not humiliated. I want her to feel like she can trust people, not put her through horrors. 

Still thinking about trying to write a mod. But I am not a writer and I haven't been around here enough to know all the history of modding.
