Finding this issue myself at the moment. It's a bit odd that we're forced into free cam on scene start with no option to disable this. Having to manually toggle tfc on every scene is extremely tedious and annoying.

The main quest id is bd_mq. But you could just search "bd_" in the console. As there are a lot of side quests and such.

The chase is bugged on the current release. I couldn't even get it to start. Apparently there were significant changes to that part of the quest, but how it used to work was, you chase the thief, get knocked off and then approached by two bandits. Whether that's still how it goes I have no idea. Couldn't even get it started as I mentioned.

I've been trying to play the latest version but it seems so buggy. I couldn't get past the thief chase as that's bugged (and known about). So I tried forcing progression past that and ran into multiple progression blocking bugs in falkreath. I restarted fresh and thought I'd just try out the silentwood content but that also has numerous progression breaking bugs, one of which I just can't pass now whereby on the 7th day (7/14 shown on my quest thingy), I got to sleep and then it sort of starts a dialogue upon waking as though I finished silentwood and kicks me out of it, completing the "Along the way" (silentwood) quest. If I manipulate the days to trick it into thinking I'm on 8, it continues but then at 13 when sleeping in the crypt it just sleeps and gets completely stuck there. I've played this mod in the past and it was way more stable, so I'm wondering if I have a mod that might be conflicting? Yes I do run SexLab in parallel but never had issues with that. The only mods that are fairly new to me that I have now that I didn't in the past are: Milk Mod Economy Being A Cow Ominus Lactis Extensible Follower Framework Actor Limit Fix (My Skyrim AI/Auto pathing has almost never worked for me, was hoping this might fix it) Where Are You? (tool mod) Devious Cidhna (Played part of the quest until escaping the mine and then went off to play thief) These are the only script related mods I've added since updating to the latest version of Thief and encountering various progression blocking bugs. Is anyone aware of any possible conflicts with the above?

That's silent wood i believe? You just have to find a way to hokki in the chiefs basement and get him to tell you which way the thief went.

Just to add to this. I forced my quest progression past the chase stage and made it to Falkreath. At this point, the quest was functioning as expected, followed it through as I've done before a few times. However, it then broke at two points. Firstly, once confronting Kust after stealing from him, and returning his gold. He immediately makes his way to the inn in the evenings and the "stealing his shovel" aspect of the quest seems to not function at all. I.e., stealing his shovel has no effect and he goes to the inn anyway, resulting in an infinite loop of drinking and sleeping with him in the evenings (no farmer scene). Ignoring the above, if you proceed with the quest, once Zoe tells you to get the ingredients, if you go to the druid in eldergleam, he immediately says something along the lines of "I KNOW WHAT YOU DID, GET OUT" And will no longer speak to you. So it's impossible to get the druid scene or the lunar root here. The above two issues may very likely be related to forcing the quest up to falkreath manually. But given the other issue with the latest release, I thought it was worth putting these on the radar for testing.

Anyone run into the issue where you start the chase for the thief from the bannered mare and nothing happens? Once I leave the bannered mare, I don't get the usual distance bar or any quest updates. I spoke to the beggar who tells me he saw the man running for the gate, going to the gate nothing, running out of whiterun down by the stables, no thief, no horse, no update of any kind, just stuck. I thought it might be because I updated from an older version, so I started a new save with the latest thief installed and after reaching the same point, same issue I'm only experiencing this issue on the latest version of thief. I'd been playing an older 6.7? version for a while and not had this bug before. Is there a safe way to skip past the thief chase?

Is it possible to skip past silentwood? Every time I try the skip function, I hit "continue skip" when it asks about silent wood. But it then asks me about each silent wood choice (even though I hit automatic (max karma), following which it loads me into the bed in silent wood. Is this a bug? Nevermind, fresh install/update solved the problem

In my experience, waiting via the wait menu doesn't work with with thief. I think the quest basically uses it's own internal clock, so to progress time to night for example, you'll want to find some event/dialogue that does that. I recall using the old fisher guys conversation in the tavern (basement) to progress to night in order to do bits at night. The tree house could also work.

Other than awfully slow menus (not sure if that's a bug or maybe something with my install? But it's only affecting menus in this mod), I noticed that once I install the latest version (0.3.07), once selecting a dominant, my character will get various bondage items equipped (incredibly slowly) and then they will get unequipped (again very slowly) and this will just sort of loop infinitely with no dialog or such with the dominant follower.
