Nether Presents: Elana and her Fiendish Friends An awkward but endearing dark mage follower with a mad scientist bent. Unique-voiced with an intro quest, discoverable formulas, unique potions, custom spells, wacky and weird summoned allies, darkly humorous. ** All NPCs represented in this mod use Digitally Generated Unique Voices that are not based on voice actor performances. ** REQUIRES: SKSE https://skse.silverlock.org/ RECOMMENDED: SkyUI (for inventory filtering) MOD FEATURES: - Unique Breton "mad scientist" follower, Elana. - Hand-crafted, high-poly appearance. She uses your installed textures and body but has her own makeup and hair applied. - One of a kind voice (uniquely, digitally created), with hundreds of voiced lines, including combat responses, idles (town, inn, general, weather) and follower dialogue. Also can respond if the player picks up items or levels up. - Fleshed out with introductory quest and backstory. - Engaging spell system based around using components that she carries in her satchel. Customize what spells she uses by what she is carrying. This inventory is separate from normal inventory. Use her special staff to transmute ingredients to easy to use gems (for swapping spells). - Elana can create potions for her and the player, a mix of healing and strange, unique elixirs. - Hunt through dungeons in Skyrim to find new formulas so that she can learn unique spells. - Unique spells with custom visuals and sounds. Spells are balanced against each other, requiring you to make interesting choices for which spells Elana uses. - Interesting and humorous tongue-in-cheek summonable creatures. INFLUENCES: Mods: Misty Skye Media: The Addams Family, Classic Universal Monster Movies, Corpse Bride, Nightmare Before Christmas, Re-Animator (and sequels), From Beyond, Weird Science, Dr Jekyl and Mr Hyde, Fright Night, Sugar Hill (1974), Dead Heat, Ghostbusters, Rocky Horror Picture Show, Cabin in the Woods. PERMISSIONS: - You are allowed to create any mod that expands on her or adds new features, as long as requires this mod as part of the master files list. - You are allowed to use the custom voice to create voice lines for specific Elana interactions with other followers. HOW TO START: - After installing the mod, go to Bleakfalls Barrow (even if you've been there before). You'll help her to recover components and a formula. Speak with her after completing the quest to learn about her backstory and how to use her unique features. INTERACTION and COMMENTARY: - Lots of commentary and interaction, much of it tongue-in-cheek. - Supports the vanilla style of comments when Elana gets near the entrance to a dungeon, sees an impressive view or senses a dangerous situation. Can comment when healed. - Comments on player actions and situations such as collisions, leveling and being sick. - Comments in dungeons, inns, miscellaneous locations, weather, wilderness and general comments that are thoughtful or humorous. - She can comment on the things that the player picks up or when boss chests and bodies are looted. - Quest Awareness lines at different points for most main quest chains in the base game: Dawnguard, Dark Brotherhood, The Companions, The Thieves Guild, The College of Winterhold and the Main Questline. - You can interact with Elana to ask here where to find all kinds of ingredients in the game. - Elana can make specific comments in Alchemy shops and occasionally purchase ingredients. - Further direct interaction under the "Can we talk for a moment?+" dialogue choice. - Options under "Can we talk" allow you to set her idle frequence, her ability to make potions or purchase ingredients from Alchemists. OUTFIT SYSTEM: Elana can use a "wear what is in your inventory" system. By default, she has a normal outfit system but you can change this by talking to her (under Can we talk for a moment?+). When activated, she will wear what you give her as long as there aren't multiple competing items for the same location. She should wear these items even when dismissed or not with you. This will also apply to wigs. This will allow you to improve and enchant items for her. Under the hood, whenever you trade with Elana and exit the trading menu, an array of what she is wearing is checked against and enforced when necessary. RELATIONSHIP: Elana has different relationship ranks that are acquired when the player scores so many points with her. These are Acquaintence (0), Friend (125), Ally (250) and Enamored (500). You raise these points by spending time with her, fighting alongside her, finding formulas and asking her how she's doing (once per hour for the latter). Relationship determines how friendly she can interact with you. At a certain point of asking her how she's doing, she will say that she thinks she's starting to develop feelings for you. If you reciprocate, she will say more flirty things in the future. Marrying her also unlocks flirty lines. You can always ask her how you and her are doing, specifically and she will comment based on her relationship rank with you and give you your relationship point total (message box). Besides the various ranked benefits listed further below, getting the highest rank with her, allows you to marry her. FORMULAS: One of the mechanics of the mod is that you can expand Elana's spell casting abilities by finding spell formulas in boss chests in the world (can be dungeon chest or any area that is clearable). They are found in a random order. There is a general 60% chance to find a formula in a given chest. This increases to 80% in draugr tombs and to 100% if you are in a necromancer or vampire lair. Elana should provide an voiced hint if there is a formula to be found in an area. Formulas are understood once the player reads the formula. However, Elana can't cast it until you find the materials that are required. After acquiring the materials for a given formula and placing those in her specimen satchel, she can cast the spell that the formula represents. To help you gather ingredients, there are several quality of life features. Of course, a formula itself lists all the ingredients required. This information is also on the tooltip for the formula, which you see in an inventory. Also if you read and close the formula, you will receive a (messagebox) list of all the ingredients you already have and which you are missing - this list only includes what is in your inventory. Tip: Elana might have some spooky ingredients in her own inventory. Each formula always requires some kind of soul gem. You can use already filled, player filled or empty soul gems for this purpose. There are 11 formulas total. She starts with 1 and you help her find another during her intro quest. That leaves 9 to discover out in the world. You can always ask her how many formulas are still out there. A message box will show you how many you've found and how many are left to find. Most of the formulas require a variety of "spooky" ingredients. The spells from formulas are listed under Spell Types, further below. SPECIMEN SATCHEL: Elana keeps all of the components used to cast her spells in her recipe satchel (besides the baseline spell, Darkbolt). In order for her to be able to use spells after finding the formulas for them, the components used to cast the spell must reside in her satchel. Besides Deadly Vermin (part of the intro quest), the player must also read the formulas to make the components valid, which you should do organically to know what components to acquire. You can more efficiently handle working with components by asking her to use her staff to distill components down into gem form. This allows you to simply remove a gem to disable a spell and add a gem to enable one. IMBUE GEM: Through dialogue, you can ask Elana to imbue any components in her specimen satchel. She will convert these components into gems. She can convert ingredients to multiple formulas at once. She cannot make duplicates of the same formula if that gem is already present in her satchel. SWITCHING SPELLS: Elana will attempt to cast any spells that she has components for that are in her specimen satchel. The easiest way to handle this is to make sure that you've turned all the components into gems. To switch spells around, ask to look in her specimen satchel and (if you have SkyUI installed), enter "imb" in the filter box (all the gems start with "imbued") to just show the gems. Trade the gems for the spells you don't want her to cast to your inventory and the ones you do want her to cast from your inventory to the specimen satchel. All of the gems have a zero weight in order to not add to your encumbrance (they are magic, so magically weightless?). Another convenience is to keep the formulas of which you still need ingredients for in your own inventory instead of hers, so it's easy for you to see which you might still need. SPELLS CHEAT MODE: You can enable a cheat mode for ingredients. Once you have discovered all the formulas, you can talk with Elana and let her know that you aren't really interested in hunting for materials. She will try to talk you out of it but you can go through with the cheat or cancel it (either choice is one-time). If you decide to cheat, Every Imbued Gem that isn't in her Satchel will be placed there. This is for folks that want to use the follower's abilities but aren't keen on spending time looking for materials. ALCHEMY: Elana was designed to be able to work with formulas and ingredients "in the field" in order to not require you to hang near an alchemy lab all day, messing around. However, she is near an alchemy lab and want to imbue materials that are in her satchel to a more convenient gem, only 1 less material is required. This means you can skip any 1 material that you like. So if a formula requires 1 void salt, 1 common soul gem and 2 bone dust and you are missing the void salt, it will still make the gem. Or you could be missing 1 of the 2 bone dust, but have the other materials. Elana can specfically make comments in Alchemy shops. She will also buy extra ingredients from time to time if she has an extra 100 gold to spend in her inventory - this gives her a mixed selection of ingredients. You can ask her where to find certain alchemical ingredients if you just want general knowledge or are having difficulty aquiring them. Other benefits attributed to alchemy depend on your relationship rank with Elana. Alchemy Training - At relationship rank 1 and higher, Elana can train the player in Alchemy, up to a skill rank of 75. Alchemy training still costs gold. Elana can brew up some interesting, unique potions at rank 1 (and higher). Around once per day, when she's near an Alchemy Station. There are a variety of these: -- Witches Brew (always created, 2-4, for herself and the player): Restores Health and Magicka, with different leveled variants. Strength is around 60% of single Health or single Magicka potion at the same level. Elana will also use the Witches Brew when hurt in combat, using the strongest to weakest potions in her inventory. -- Instant Skeleton (random chance, player only): Summons a skeleton for 60 seconds that is 25% of the player's level. -- Detect the Dead (random chance, player only): Detects the dead and undead in the area for 60 seconds. -- Bewitching Bats Brew (random chance, player only): Attracts a swarm of bats to surround the imbiber for 30 seconds, doing damage to nearby hostile targets (only affects the living). -- Vial of Subject 13 (random chance, player only): Summons a white skeever for 60 seconds. -- Spider in a Jar (random chance, player only): Summons a spider that can melee or fire webs at range for 60 seconds. -- Skyclad Potion (random chance, player only): Removes body armor from all hostile humanoid npcs in the area and has a 25% chance to remove armor from allies or friendly targets. Lasts 10 seconds. Targets can resist versus magic. -- Bottle of Undead Terror (random chance, player only): Causes undead in the area to flee for 10 seonds. Targets can resist versus shock. At rank 2 or higher, the player gains a new perk, Necromancer's Brewmate, that gives him a 20% chance to brew additional potions when Elana is a teammate. At rank 3 or higher, the player gains a new perk, Efficient Fluids, that allows beneficial potions with a duration to last 15% longer and single-fire beneficial potions to be 10% more potent. SPELL TYPES: Some formulas have spell types. These are Summon (includes reanimation/raise), Armor, Damage and Healing. Summon Protection Damage Healing Elana can only use one type of a spell at one time. If you have multiple spells with the same type active, she will use the strongest one she has Magicka for. Summon includes raising a creature from the dead or summoning one in, such as Test Subject and Stony Guardian. Creatures other than Test Subject are 70% of Elana's level. Armor includes any armor type spells, like Strength of the Damned. Damage includes spells that work independently of her normal attacks and can be small groups of creatures that can be dispatched easily but cause additional damage if they are not dealt with, such as Deadly Vermin and Skelly Horde. Healing is any healing that happens in an aura around Elana, such as Corpse Healing. Spells: Initial -- - Test Subject (Summon): Can revive a nearby ferocious animal for 60 seconds. Subjects have slightly enhanced health and stamina. - Deadly Vermin (Damage): Summons 3-5 Murder Bunnies that seek out nearby opponents and explode upon impact. Cause decent damage when they hit. Discovered -- - Corpse Healing (Healing: For 30 seconds, any corpses in the area can be disentigrated to heal the caster or her allies. Moderately strong heal, only affects 1 target at a time. - Strength of the Damned (Protection: For 60 seconds, the caster and their allies have their physical defense increased by 25, their cold and poison resistance increased by 25 and are immune to disease damage. -Stony Guardian (Summon): For 3 minutes, summons a gargoyle, Boris, that protects the caster and taunts all allies in a fairly large area to fight it (resist versus shock). - Skeleton Horde (Damage): For 30 seconds, summons a horde of small, giggling skeletons to aid the caster. Counts as a damage enhancement. - Withering Flesh (Damage): Causes nearby enemies to wither, doing 3 damage to health per second and reducing Magicka and Stamina regeneration by 25%. Lasts for 8 seconds. Counts as a damage enhancement. Only affects targets in line of sight. - Zombie Cat (Summon): For 3 minutes, summons a zombie sabrecat cub, Creepers, that protects the caster and her allies. Can knock down opponents on a power attack. - Whispering Shroud (Healing): Heals all moderately hurt allies in the area for 8 Health and Magicka and 5 Stamina every second for 6 seconds. Can only occur once per 10 seconds. - Infernal Ward (Protection): For 60 seconds, all allies have their physical defense increased by 25, Fire Resistance increased by 30 and their Magic Resistance increased by 10. - Vampiric Assistant (Summon): For 3 minutes, summons a vampiric assistant, Seraphina, that assists the caster. Can use vampiric drain, reanimate weaker foes and use cold magic at high enough level. Her vampiric drain can mesmerize opponents, paralyzing them for a few seconds. Baseline Spell -- Darkbolt: Causes 25 health damage (similar to firebolt), resisted against fire. Lower's enemy's magic resistance by 10% and has a 15% chance to stagger when hit. SCRIPTED SPELLS: Some spells require using a script to look through the spells that Elana has, determine if she has the Magicka for the spell and if so, cast it. This happens pretty quickly and is only checked once per 10 seconds during combat. The order in which she checks spell types is (top to bottom): Protection, Summon, Damage and Healing. FUTURE ADD-ONS: I am keeping the main esl/sem flagged mod for core work and then may expand with (esl-flagged where possible): - Quest pack that fleshes out her backstory and adds new fun quests. - Interactions pack with community characters and other npcs. - Comments about other community lands packs, such as Wyrmstooth or Grey Cowl locations. FAQ: There are too many ingredients. I'm lost. Just convert the ingredients to imbued gems. It makes it much easier to keep track of which spells she has available. The gems also are named for each formula, making it easier to understand what they are used for. You can always ask Elana where to find certain ingredients. Alchemy shops are a good source as well, as well as Valerica's study during the Dawnguard questline. Once you have all formulas, you can by talking to her to acquire all the imbued gems. Can I put other things in the specimen satchel? You can easily use the satchel as a separate inventory. I would avoid adding ingredients or miscellaneous materials, such as skins and animal parts if you are still planning on creating imbued gems. Why is this an ESP instead of an ESL/ESM? Just for ease as a developer, using the CK and other tools, this is a esp flagged as esm and esl, a light master. I can make any CK edits without it destroying versioning information and having to constantly rename the mod. It will load after any normal esm and before any esp that aren't flagged esm. Esl-flagged esp. - An option is provided to support playing as a (female) Satyress. Esl-flagged esp. Requires RaceCompatibility. - Since you can generate new npcs with this mod, High-Poly Head is not included and must be downloaded from https://vectorplexis.com/files/file/283-high-poly-head INSTALLATION: - FOMOD Installer is provided. - You selected which body type you use primarily for females. - You can choose from Hooves or (human) Feet, and whether or not you want Player support (only required if you are playing one - not required for core mod or making followers). - Tail option can be wiggly or not wiggly. Wiggly requires CBPC. - Pick your Follower Framework: NFF, AFT, Vanilla/EFF. - Reminder to run Bodyslide if you need to. MOD FEATURES: - 5 Followers with special abilities. Each follower has a different theme. Each is capable and stightly stronger than normal followers, being daedra protectors. Each is furred with horns, hooves and tails. Supports UNP and CBBE based bodies. - 5 new, custom digitally-created voices, one for each follower. - Quest content that involves bringing each across from menhirs scattered across Skyrim and then finding them a home. - Extra encounters via Forsworn that persue you and hostile creatures that can come from Hircine's realm. - Racemenu support for creating your own Satyress followers or playing as a Satyress. -- Automatically will use hair such as KS Hairdos or Apachii if you have one or the other installed. -- You can create standard poly or high-poly heads. -- Includes 11 brows + 11 darkly colored brows + 1 no brows. -- Includes 16 eye colors with custom textures. -- Includes 24 different types of horns + no horns. - Support for integrating new followers into the menhir system that fits into the rest of the mod. PERMISSIONS: - You are allowed to create followers requiring this mod as a master. Additionally, there are instructions included to help you along (given that you have basic follower creation knowledge) and to show you how to integrate them into the mod to keep the same theme with the menhirs, the portals from which the Satyresses appear. - You are allowed to create any mod that expands on them or adds new features, as long as requires this mod as part of the master files list. - You are allowed to use the custom voices provided in your own mod work or to add features to this mod. You can remix, splice, AI-enhance or emulate these voices as needed. - I'd glad to provide a courtesy link to any Satyress-based mod you create if you let me know about it. HOW TO START: - After installing the mod, kill a Forsworn and a quest to acquire them will be set into motion. QUESTS: Here is a walkthrough on the quests to help you along. The theme of the mod presents the Satyresses as humanoid Daedra that serve the prince Hircine. They can be called forth into Mundis as servants to anyone who possesses the Huntman's Stone, a relic of Hircine. A faction of Forsworn have discovered the location of the Stone and seek to acquire it to use it as tool, along with the Satyresses, to help them gain the upper hand in the Reach. The "just so happens" to intercept a Forsworn carrying instructions on where to find the Stone and it further emphasizes that a briar heart is required at each menhir location, in order to help it weaken the veil between Tamriel and the Hunting Grounds, Hircine's plane. NOTE: If the note lands inside of an object, through the magic of Skyrim's engine, you can enter the console and type: "setstage nwsSatyrGemQuest 5" to re-orientate the quest and read the note in your inventory. After acquiring the stone, the player must travel to 5 menhir locations across Tamriel, in order to bring across a Satyress at each one. As the player travels to the menhirs, groups of Forsworn are in pursuit and may be encountered along the way. This is also a source of addition briar hearts, as each has a boss Briarheart leader. Once you acquire all the Satyresses, you need to have at least one as a follower. A Satyress will, within a few minutes, tell you that they need a place away from the cities that they can call home. This will start a "kind of the mountain" type quest where you have to defeat the Forsworn and reach the top. There are a lot of them, and though the quest has been adjusted, it is intended to be challenging. You may wish to take 3-5 followers with you to complete the quest. Once the area is retaken, it is considered a player home and the Satyresses will default to living there. There is a large pool area that they can strip at and plenty of bedrolls and other amenities. After you have completed the two main quests for the Satyresses, any follower add-ons designed for them that are intended to be "integrated in" will start a quest called From the Wilds that allows you to acquire additional Satyresses at one or more menhirs. You do not need a briar heart to bring them through, being touched by the Huntsman's Stone is enough. VIDEO WALKTHROUGH: PORTAL BREACHES: Any time you activate one of the mehnirs and thin the veil between Mundis and the Hunting Grounds, there is a chance that curious and hostile denizens of Hircine's realm will wander through. This can happen during the main quest when you open the portal for the first time or if opening them due to integration of new Satyress followers. Currently, the possible types of breaches are: Spriggans plus a Matron, a mix of Wolves and Werewolves, a band of Skimpy Savages, a pack of Giant Bristlebacks or Frost Sabrecat and their Giant Handler. NOTES: - In the base version, followers cannot use footwear, as they have hooves. The skeleton was tweaked to raise them to accomodate for hoof displacement. If you try to put footwear on them, they will be floating above the ground. There is an option in the installer for esp-flagged esps (one for npcs, one for the player) if you'd rather them have normal feet. You can't have both - it's one or the other. - Heavy and Light armor versions of the hooves can be created at the forge and tempered. This will allow you to take advantage of certain perk benefits but they don't look any different from normal hooves. - Effort has gone into reducing seams between the body and head but it's not 100% perfect. - Head textures use Nuska's textures as a base but have been heavily redesigned. Body textures have been upscaled to 4k, head textures are 2k. - Some horn variations were built by me using existing parts. The readme details all the gals: Nyssa, Paunia, Rhiana, Syrelia and Tali. ESL-Flagged Expansions are in the works (titles subject to change): Satyresses - Frolic, a sex and dancing mod. Satyresses - Darkness, adds 3 new Satyress followers, each darkly themed. Satyresses - Mythos, adds 3 new Satyress followers, each with a mythological or nature theme. Satyresses - The Hunt, adds additional quest content. It is not going to be ESLified. Highlights: - Can be used if you have completed the main Dragonborn quest or if you've never met Frea in game. - Custom appearance with high-poly head, full maps for UNP/CBBE based bodies, built-in wig system that allows you to change or color her hair in game. Aware of quests and player actions, combat lines, new interaction lines and much more. - Relationship system that awards unique combat and non-combat abilities. Ability to marry Frea. - Challenging quest content that allows you to help her become a better shaman. - New abilities for Frea are discovered as she levels with you. - Outfit system that allows you to pick up to 5 outfits for her. You can set her up to automatically change into different outfits through conditions you choose. - Intimacy system for those that like a bit more adult adventure in their games. Supports Sexlab or Flowergirls and is hidden away if you don't have either installed. Can be disabled as well. All these features add up to truly make Frea Fantabulous! Installation: - FOMOD installer for SSE. - You can choose your appearance. Nether's Frea is recommended (but I'm biased of course) but you can also choose from: Bijin Warmaidens (Frea Standalone or All-In-One), Frea in Coldsun's Pantheon Pack 1, Pandorable's Frea, Vanilla Appearance or a User Textures option. - User Textures give you Nether's appearance but uses your own installed body, head, eye and brow textures. It will use Nether's facegeom and facetint. - If choosing Nether's Frea, you can pick between CBBE or UNP based textures. Choose the option that makes the type of body you use in game for most female characters. - If choosing Nether's Frea, you can pick between Athletic, Toned or Smooth body normal maps. - You may optionally elect to add support for Party Combat Parameters, in way of a new icon for Frea. (https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/57127) - Finally, you can choose the Follower System that you use: NFF, AFT or EFF/Vanilla. - Note that there is no longer a hair color color option since you can now choose wigs and wig hair color in game. Updating: - The Updates document (Nether's Frea Updates.text) and the changelog shows all the changes from the earlier versions of Nether's Frea (1.0) to Frea 2.0. - There are significant changes from the old version to this one. I recommend a new game as the safest option, if going from 1.0 to 2.0. However, if you haven't met Frea yet in your current game and you currently have 1.0 installed, it should be fine. - If you haven't installed a version of Nether's Frea at all in your current game, you should be able to install this mod at any point (this is very general advice, I can't vouch for your specific game). 10. Looks great! Would you consider doing a build compiled against 1_6_353? If not, no worries, just thought I'd ask.
  11. View File Nether's Jen and Kat Nether’s Jen & Kat Version 2.1 Full-featured follower duo, starting in Whiterun with Jen. Includes custom abilities, idle lines, action/location/quest awareness, quests, outfit support, hair swapping and more. Kat obtainable via quest. Note: Contains bad language, adult humor and occasional nudity - mostly from Katya. Doubt it would be an issue here but should be mentioned. Highlights Features two capable Redguard sisters, Jenna and Katya, that level with the player. Jenna can be gained immediately, Katya is available through a quest. Able to customize their core abilities through the use of bonuses. These are like perks you can apply as you see fit .Affixes for Jenna and Components for Katya. Multiple core quests and some sidequests that flesh out the followers, their backstories and family. 4 quests as part of a story arc, an intro quest and a bonus quest. Both are quest and player-action aware. They utilize game voices (Female Even Toned and Female Condescending) with many, many hundreds of unique, custom lines. They are able to provide utility, reminding the player when they are low on various items (potions, torches, food, lockpicks, etc), when they are getting close to overburdened and so on. Can engage in a large variety of banter when using both followers together. Relationship system that unlocks additional player benefits and quests as you reach different ranks. Can be married at the highest rank. Multi-outfit System define up to 5 outfits per follower with an optional building system that allows you to see items applied in real time, as if you were directly trading with them. Hair-changing and coloring system. Each follower has 7 to 8 different wigs that can be applied to them, along with support for 3rd-party standalone wigs. Wigs are monitored and re-applied when needed (sex mods, stripping pools, etc). Both followers feature High-poly heads and customized textures. Supports UNP or CBBE-based bodies. Though they are custom designed, Jen and Kat can work with multi-follower managers (NFF, AFT, EFF and so on). However, they also include a special Sidekick system that allows you to use them in addition to any other followers you currently have recruited. Sidekick allows them to function as normal followers (player teammates and in current follower faction) in their own framework. Offered for SSE and LE. Requirements SKSE64 SkyUI Dawnguard and Dragonborn to be active UNP or CBBE-based body (vanilla body is not supported) XP32 Skeleton or equivalent (some hair has breast nodes). A multi-follower manager is highly recommended to allow you to use Jenna and her sister together. NFF, AFT, EFF and frameworks based on the vanilla dialogue follower system are supported. Installation Download BOTH parts. Install with your Mod Manager of choice. The installer file is a FOMOD. The resources file is shared resources between SSE or LE. Installer supports SSE and LE. Choose your Body Type (CBBE or UNP) Choose your Body Normal Maps (standard or toned/athletic). Select your follower manager of choice. Supports NFF, AFT and Vanilla (EFF). If in doubt, pick Vanilla. Choose 3rd Party support. Currently: Character Icon Support for Party Combat Parameters https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/57127 Updating IMPORTANT: Since so much work has gone into both followers, I decided to rebrand the package Jen & Kat, instead of Jenna, and have started with version 1.0. In actuality, it would be Jenna 3.1 if you have used an earlier version of Jenna. The .esp name is still nwsJennaFollower. If you currently have a version of (Nether's) Jenna before 3.0 in your existing game, you will need to completely uninstall her before applying this version. Jenna was originally created in mid-2018 and I have completely overhauled the core system that she was built around. The name of the mod is the same but has been rebranded as "Jen & Kat" due to significant new content that was added and fleshed out. Aquiring Jenna is found in Whiterun. You can recruit her for a fee or for free if you've made a name for yourself, otherwise you will need to tempt her with some gold. Features (MCM and support spells) are unlocked once she becomes your follower. Quests (Light Spoilers) Quests can be tracked in the first page of Jen & Kat's MCM menu. You can view the general progress of the quests that are included. All core quests are designed to progress naturally as you get to know Jenna (and later Katya). This means that they are slightly locked by game time (usually 30-60 minutes or 3 minutes real time) and by relationship rank. You can use the MCM to bump up Jenna and Katya's relationship rank to cause these quests to occur faster. This will cause benefits at different ranks to granted quicker and you might miss out on some (very minor) dialogue bits. There is an introductory quest where you meet her and then show her around Whiterun, since she's new to town. This is followed up by a tour of some of Skyrim's cities and towns. These are both optional but award additional relationship points with her (and Katya if she is also along). This does not count as a core (or progression) quest, so it does not need to completed before doing any of the others. After acquiring her as a follower and reaching rank 1 relationship with Jenna (Respect), you receive a quest with the backstory of the shield she uses. This will happen outside of any town or city. This quest involves some randomly spawned encounters and is designed to only happen in wilderness type areas to prevent a clash with normal gameplay. However, if you are quickly moving in an out of different areas often (such as fast traveling), it is possible for these encounters to happen in more populated areas. The shield encounters come in 3 waves and take an hour of game time and some distance to be convered by the player between encounters. You can accelerate the waves by waiting one hour after each encounter and moving ahead a ways. Once you reach the second relationship rank with Jenna (Admiration), you will receive a quest that allows you to eventually meet and recruit her sister, Katya. This quest starts in town, usually within a couple of hours, via a custom courier character. This is tied to relationship rank to establish Jenna being in Skyrim for a bit before Katya shows up. Once you acquire rank 1 of relationship with Katya (Respect), an additional quest will occur (via the same custom courier in any town) where you will be able to acquire a special item for her, that will also be of benefit to the player. Upon completing acquiring Katya and acquiring her special item, you will be approached by the game's normal courier that something has happened to Kaia, which starts an additional quest. The courier quest works similarly as it does in vanilla Skyrim, where a change location event causes it to happen. If you find that the courier isn't showing up and should be, try to go into an interior cell in a city or town (such as a store) and then back to the exterior then move around a bit and the courier should appear. There is a bonus quest that can occur near Khajiit caravan traders when Jenna is with you, once she is at rank 2 relationship. Jenna will speak some lines out loud that hint to the player that they should talk to the caravan leader. Quest enemies are added in addition to any enemies in dungeons. They usually have 1 or more mini-boss level enemies, scale to some degree to player's level and can be tougher fights for games using higher difficulty through settings or mods. If using a multi-follower mod, you may want to bring a couple extra followers when tackling them. Body and Face Jenna (and Kat) uses either the UNP or CBBE body, depending on your choices in the installer. You should pick the version that uses what most female characters in your game use so that armor will match the skin appropriately. There are two different texture sets and both are hand-tweaked. The UNP texture uses Fair Skin Complexion while the CBBE uses a combination of Fair Skin and Pure Skin. Head textures were designed to match closely either the UNP or CBBE body, so there are full textures for each type to minimize seams and uneven areas. Eyebrows are from Maeven2's Eyebrows resource. Eye Textures are customized from nevenbridge81's Natural Eyes resource. Initial hair for Jenna is from Apachii Sky Hair (used with permission). Katya and additional hair options are from KS Hairdos. All textures have mipmaps. Style Menu Jenna comes with a custom ability (voice ability or activated with hotkey) called the style menu. It can be used to make Jenna or Katya wear any defined outfits, select a hair (wig), color a hair (wig), pick a random wig and pick a random wig color. You can also use it to show or hide Jenna's currently equipped shield (returned to her during combat, removed afterwards). The style menu requires the crosshair to be on either Jenna or Katya if both are followers. If you only have one as a follower, it will show the menu for that follower. Wig/Hair System Jenna includes 8 extra wigs from KS Hairdos, plus her base hair as a wig (Madeleine, Haven, Vivacity, DiscoHeaven, Ainhoa, Hello, SweetSlumber and Malachite). Katya includes 7 extra wigs from KS Hairdos, plus her base hair as a wig (Runaway, WakeUp, Witness, Sky243, Sunshine, ThornBirds, Vapor). Wigs can be applied via the MCM menu or via the Style player ability. A variety of colors can be applied to any wig: Platinum Blond, Bright Blond, Blond, Light Brown, Medium Brown, Dark Brown, Red, Dark Red, Black, Blue-Black, Blue, Pink, Purple, White and Grey. As with wigs, they can be applied via the MCM or Style ability. When applied, wigs show up in their inventory so that they are visible on the character. You can cause Jenna and Kat to change their hair style on a whim (along with hair color, if you wish). They will think about changing her hair every 16 to 32 hours . You can set this up in the MCM for Jenna and/or Katya, including the chance they will switch (40% chance by default). The MCM will allow you to select which wigs and colors are applied randomly, per follower. This mod supports coloring any 3rd party wig mods used with Jenna and Katya, as long as they have the HairTint texture node. Additional wigs should include body slots 31 and 41 and you can toggle on 3rd party wig support in the MCM to cause fhe followers to try to re-apply their 3rd party wigs when inventory changes. Note: If you are using wigs from other mods on Jenna, it is best to keep her regular inventory free of multiple hair items, including the wigs provided by this mod. Outfit System By talking with Jenna and Kat, you can define up to 5 outfits for them. Once an outfit is defined, you can ask them to wear it or you can remove a defined outfit. Outfits can be worn via dialogue or via the Style menu. They do not auto-apply but you can select a different outfit at any time, outside of combat. They use the standard outfit form, so player-created enchants will not work on outfit items. Items found in the world already enchanted will use those bonuses. Equipment Jenna includes her own custom, enchanted shield from the Redguard Shields mod. Armor is not included and uses in-game bandit armor by default. I don't typically include full armor because it can create additional support issues. Jenna's Mace/Shield and Katya's Scimitar can be crafted if the event they are lost or sold. This can be turned on in the MCM settings. Sidekick System A separate follower system is provided for Jenna and Katya that allows you to use them in addition to any followers that you currently have with you and outside of any follower framework. Though it has several quality of life features, it doesn’t have the full range of advantages of a 3rd party framework such as Nether’s Follower Framework or AFT. When used as Sidekicks, they are both considered to be player teammates and are in the current follower faction. Sidekick includes follow and wait packages. Follow package is similar to the vanilla follow player package. The wait package honors the "WaitingForPlayer" stat. An optional Sandboxing system is provided when using them as sidekicks. Sandboxing kicks in after the player has been idle for around 6 seconds. Idle for purposes of sandboxing is: not in combat, not sneaking, no weapon drawn, not mounted, not running or sprinting. Sandboxing occurs within 1400 units of the player and has a radius of 1024 units. They will not sandbox in locations marked as dungeons. An optional Catch-Up system is provided that moves them to the follower if they are too far away (lagging behind while following). This occurs if they are more than 4096 units from the player, not asked to wait, player is not in combat and the player is not mounted. An optional, but highly recommended, Friendly Fire system is also provided that keeps fights from occuring when Jen or Kat accidentally strikes a teammate or each other. This can happen in the game from any hit that causes a hit event to occur, whether or not the target actually takes damage. When friendly fire is detected, the attacking npc + their target (if a player teammate) stops combat. The optional systems will check in real-time, per 4 seconds. Turning off sandboxing and catch-up will lighten papyrus load but the checks are fairly light themselves. Turning on and off the Sidekick system should convert Jenna or Katya between being normal followers or sidekicks, if they are already with you. If you are at maximum number of followers for your follower framework (this is 1 in vanilla), you may receive a warning that you already have too many followers depending on how your framework mod is designed. In this event, they should simply be dismissed. Personality and Relationship Jenna uses the Female Even-Toned voice, Katya uses Female Condescending. Jenna is loyal, responsible and dependable. Katya is outgoing, less than moral and attention seeking. When together, they can be competitive, tease each other and vie for the dragonborn's attention. Voice lines generated using a combination of vanilla assets and the xVASynth tool for Skyrim. As you get to know them better, their relationship improves that introduces new lines and abilities or features. It starts as a rank of Associated (0) then progresses to Respect (1), Admiration (2) then Enamored (3). At Enamored, each can be married. Each rank is based on a point system: 450 points for Jenna, 350 for Katya. At 25% of the way, rank 1 is achieved, with 50% for rank 2 and 100% to get to rank 3. Points are awarded for completing the core quests (varies, usually 12-15 points upon completion), doing the optional "tour" quest (15 for completing Whiterun locations, 6 per each other city with a bonus of 12 upon full completion), killing enemies (2-3 points, per 30 min game time), crafting (3-4 points per 40 min game time) and just spending time with them (3-6 per game hour). Via the MCM, you can bump-up Jenna or Katya's relationship rank and effectively boost their relationship. This is not reversable. Regardless of their relationship, core quests will progress in order so this might be an option if you want to move digest the quest content more quickly. Interaction (Reminders) Jenna and Katya can remind the player to stock up on arrows, bolts, health potions, lockpicks and food. Reminders only occur outside of dungeons and have a 20% chance to be spoken (can be changed in the MCM) and are checked as idle lines. They do not set the idle lines cooldown. Jenna can let you know if she is able to make potions that she can share with you. Requires Admiration relationship and she must be in a town, city or inn (20% chance as an idle, as above). Jenna and Katya can let you know if you appear to be getting near encumbered. This triggers at around 88% of the player's weight capacity being filled. They can let you know if you are diseased OR are low on disease potions. Only occurs if you are not a werewolf or vampire. Jenna can occasionally tell you to carry some poisons if you have high enough one or two-handed skill (35 or higher). Interaction (General) Jenna and Katya will banter fairly often if both are followers, playing off of (and often picking on) each other, like siblings tend to do. Banter lines are dynamic in that the responses can be randomized, with as many as 5 different lines for lead-in and response topics. Both have a variety of idle lines that are separated into: general, inn, wilderness (weather and outdoors lines) and dungeon. Jenna will comment along different points of certain quests (work in progress). Currently supports: The Companions, Civil War, Winterhold College, Dark Brotherhood, Main Questline and a few comments here and there about minor quests. Jenna will randomly congratulate the player for completing many questlines in Skyrim. Both have additional lines for common follower interaction, such as recruit, dismiss, trade, wait and follow, along with collision and other general game lines. They can congratulate the player when leveling up, can comment specifically on enemies or when the player is crafting. They are able to make comments when the player loots a body (10% chance), loots loose items (45% chance) or loots treasure chests (85% chance). Jenna and Kat will occasionally thank the player for things. If they ask for health potions and you share some with them, they can thank you. In addition to dates, Jenna loves creme treats and sweetrolls and will thank you for them. Katya loves skooma and liquor. For attention, Katya might randomly strip when she is a follower. She will usually put her clothes back on afterwards. Usually. Jenna and Kat's lines change as their personality improves. Jenna is loyal and respectful but standoffish at first. Katya is fairly coarse and kurt with the player initially. Eventually, they will both warm up to you but Katya's personality has more of a drastic change. Food and Other Favorites Jenna is able to occasionally buy bags of dates from exotic merchants (once per 18 hours). Supports Khajiit merchants (including caravans and modded Khajiit merchants), Exotic Traders (those under the WEServiceMiscMerchant faction) and merchants in Alikr desert locations from Grey Cowl of Nocturnal (and Camels and new animals in Alik'r Desert Standalone if you use that instead). Dates restore some health (24 points) and increase Magicka/Stamina rate by 8 for 3 minutes. Grey Cowl of Nocturnal: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/4509 . Camels and new animals in Alik'r Desert Standalone: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/40921 . Dates can also be occasionally purchased by the player. Jenna can use dates in combat if she's taken at least 5% damage. She will consume a bag of dates if she has one. There is a 1 hour in-game cooldown before consuming another bag. If Jenna or Katya have their favorites (creme treats, sweetrolls for Jenna; liquor and skooma for Katya), they will consume one of them once per 8 hours. This also grants a small "That was Delicious" blessing that improves Health and Stamina by 10 for 2 hours. General Combat Jenna and Katya level with the player character, their minimum is level 5 with no level cap. Both use tweaked Combat AI and Class. Jenna favors weapon and shield style. Katya is a spellsword (melee and magic). Katya can be switched to a dual melee build in the MCM menu. Both have Lightfood perk along with Skill Boosts and Alchemy Skill Boosts. They include a Damage Multiplier adjustment feature that you can access in the MCM individually for each. This slider allows you to set the physical damage and destruction ability/spell multiplier to make them weaker or stronger at the core. Both followers include ability scaling, which allows the abilities that come with them to become somewhat stronger over time. Starting at level 10 and every 10 levels, up to level 100, the Magnitude of their innate abilities increases by 10%. Their base effects are balanced against this scaling. Percentage-based abilities (resistances and healing) do not scale. Jenna Features Backstory Jenna has something of a wanderlust. She's traveled to a land she's heard quite a bit of from her father, namely Skyrim, in order to prove herself to her ancestors and when she dies, enter the Far Shores (the Redguard afterlife). She seeks adventure and has newly arrived in Whiterun, offering her services as a mercenary. Personality Jenna is excited about life, easy-going and loyal to her friends and those that pay her price. Very cup half-full personality. She enjoys eating dates and will approach merchants from time to time in search of them. Loves cream treats and sweetrolls. General Jenna is a sword and board, tanky capable follower. She also has a self-heal that she uses when moderately injured (at 65% or less) that has no cost but has a 12 second cooldown. Jenna has the following vanilla Perks: Savage Strike, Custom Fit, Power Bash, Shield Charge, Armsman 2, Shield Wall 2, Block Runner. Shield Bash When bashing with a shield, she has a 60% base chance to knock back opponents sending them flying a short distance and causing moderate damage (25 points that scales with her level). This chance increases as she gets injured and you can set the base chance in the MCM. Special Abilities Breath of Sakatal An offensive ability, voice-activated, 12 sec cooldown. Jenna breathes a gout of fire, doing 32 damage to any targets directly in front of her, staggering them. Word of Fury A defensive ability, voice-activated, no cooldown. Jenna creates a cloak of fire and wind around her, doing 7 fire damage per second to enemies within 10 feet. Weapon attack speed is also enhanced by 20% and 30% resistance to fire (peak value). Whispers of the Winds A defensive ability, voice-activated, 15 sec cooldown. Jenna can heal herself for 20% of her base health every 12 seconds. Affixes You can customize Jenna by applying up to 3 ability affixes (initially), that modify her special abilities or add new features. Only the first 2 affixes for each ability is known initially, with a new one granted each time she levels with the player (must be a follower). There are 12 bonuses in total. Once Jenna learns the first 9 abilities, a 4th affix can be applied. When all 12 are learned, a 5th affix can be applied. Breath of Sakatal Pyre (known): The main target receives an additional 16 fire damage (32 fire damage then another 16 fire damage). Inferno (known): Breath explodes in a burst of fire when hitting the primary target, hitting all hostile targets for 32 in a 65 foot radius and staggering them. Inferno damage replaces the base breath damage, but causing more lingering damage (about 16 points). Muzzle: The main target of is silenced for 6 seconds. Exhaustion: The main target takes 12 Stamina damage per second for 3 seconds. Word of Fury Vigor (known): While her cloak is active, Jenna regenerates Stamina 5x faster. Warding (known): While cloak is active, Jenna and all allies in a wide range have their Health, Magicka and Stamina increased by 75. Gale: Jenna's movement speed is increased by 75 when running or sprinting. Winds often knock back an opponent, causing moderate damage (15 points that scales with level). Insulation: When Word of Fury is active, Jenna takes 30% less damage from cold and fire (fire resistance stacks with cloak's base resistance) Whispers of the Winds Verve (known): Also restores 75% of Jenna's base Stamina. Recuperation (known): Heals all allies for 20% of their base health in a wide radius (200 feet). Guardian: Summons an Ancestor Spirit that fights for her for 90 seconds. Guardian is treated as a player teammate. Revitalize: Greatly improves Jenna's incombat health regeneration for 10 seconds, effectively giving her double out of combat regeneration while in combat. Block Training Once Jenna gets to know you a little bit (relationship rank 1), she can train you in block up to to 75. This does cost gold, like any other trainer. Potion Brewing Jenna is able to brew potions when you reach relationship rank 1 with her. This can occur once per day or so (24 to 48 hours, in game). The player and Jenna will receive a mix of potions appropriate to your level, that can restore stamina, magicka or health. The calculation is weighted towards health potions. To brew potions, there needs to be an alchemy station nearby. Once Katya is acquired and also is your follower, Jen will brew potions for her as well. Scrounging: Once you reach relationship rank 2 with Jenna, she can provide a bonus when you are harvesting. There is a 20% chance when gathering in the world that you will receive an extra bonus material. Jenna must be your follower to gain the bonus. It also works outside of Green Thumb and similar perks from other mods and in effect, should stack. We Fight as One: Once you have maximum relationship with Jenna, having her with you grants the We Fight as One ability. When active, Shout time is reduced by 10% and physical damage is increased by 10%. This benefit only extends to Jenna and the player. Courage At maximum relationship with Jenna, incoming fear effects will be dispelled (within 5 seconds during combat). Katya Features Backstory Katya is Jenna's younger sister. She is part of an order than broke off from the Redguard Ash'abah, a group that centered on puriftying mausoleums and fighting the undead. Though she hasn't completely fallen out of the graces of her order, she is just as likely to carouse in a tavern as she is to perform her duties. Personality Often speaks inappropriately, uses foul language and is generally loose and wild. When around Jenna, this is even more prevalent as she feels the need to challenge her sister's authority, trying to undermine or shock her. She has a cup half-full personality. Underneath it all, Katya is loyal to those that she calls friends. Loves skooma and liquor. General Katya is a spellsword caster, with emphasis on healing and anti-undead magic. Katya has the following vanilla Perks: Agile Defender 2, Armsman 1, Apprentice and Adept Restoration and Custom Fit. Healing Katya has a healing package that works in or out of combat. She can detect the health of herself, the player and teammates and cast either a mass healing spell or single healing. She usually heals when a valid target is at less than 50% health, in combat. Out of combat, she will top-off hurt allies. If you'd rather have her be less of a caster and more melee, in the MCM you can activate a Dual-Wielding option. When in this mode, she can use a weapon in each hand. However, she loses her ranged casting ability and can only cast Tava's Blessing on herself (associated components only affect her). She does retain her Ancestor's Touch but it only procs on the main hand weapon. Special Abilities Ancestor’s Light or Light’s Touch An offensive ability. As a ranged spell, Ancestor’s Light, she causes 25 points of positive energy damage for 25 points. When fighting with weapons, they cause an additional 9 points of positive energy damage. When fighting undead, an additional 30% damage is inflicted. Tava's Blessing Low-cost heal that restores 25% health to a targeted ally. If Katya detects that more than one ally is hurt, she can cast it on all allies in a large area (125 feet). Holy Shield An armor spells that provides 60 physical resistance, which can be modified with components to make it stronger. Components You can customize Katya by applying up to 3 ability components (initially), that modify her spells or add new features. Only the first 2 components for each ability is known initially, with a new one granted each time she levels with the player (must be a follower). There are 12 bonuses in total. Once Katya learns the first 9 abilities, a 4th component can be applied. When all 12 are learned, a 5th component can be applied. Ancestor's Light/Light's Touch Absorption (known): Absorbs 18 Magicka (9 Magicka when using a weapon) and returns it to Katya. Shimmer (known): Hits all opponents in a 25 foot area (15 feet if using a melee weapon). Flicker: 35% chance to stagger opponents. Can only occur once per 3 seconds. Smite: causes 20% bonus damage from any spells and attacks to undead. Tava's Blessing Mending (known): Extra selfhealing for an additional 20% of her base health. Invigoration (known): Any ally healed also has 30% of their base stamina healed. Preservation: Any ally healed is grated 15% magic resistance for 10 seconds. Aegis: When healing, Katya receives a 40 point ward for 10 seconds. Aegis can also reflect spells back to their source (only affects fire and forget destruction spells, up to a magnitude of 25). Holy Shield Vigor (known): While her shield is active, Katya regenerates Magicka 5x faster. Resolve (known): Kayta takes 20% less physical damage from opponents, 30% if they are undead. Divine Ally: Summons a fiery wolf avatar ally when activated. Wolf has fire bite and scales to 50% of her level. Last until combat ends. Divine Ally is treated as a player teammate. Protection: Armor rating is increased by 40%. Enchanting Training Once Katya gets to know you a little bit (relationship rank 1), she can train you in enchanting up to to 75. This does cost gold, like any other trainer. Improved Enchanting When you completed the quest for Katya, Disenchanted, you are granted a bonus when enchanting that increases the effectiveness of enchants by 15%. Further, an Arcane Enchanter is placed in Dead Man's Drink, in Falkreath. Courage At maximum relationship with Katya, incoming fear effects will be dispelled (within 5 seconds during combat). Extra Storage An unlimited storage system is included. Jenna and Katya can pack mule their stuff with additional storage and it's a safe place to put wearable items that you don't want the outfit system to accidentally affect. Home System You can set Jenna and Katya to live practically anywhere. Supports Day (6am to 2pm), Evening (2pm to 10pm) and Night (10pm to 6am) locations. These locations are already set when you first meet them, but you can customize them in dialogue. Changing these will put their location exactly where the player is standing. You can also set them to sleep at day, evening or night. Removing locations will clear all locations and times so that you can start over. Any entry that shows "Tamriel" means that the location is not defined in game, so this is a catch-all word. Integration Nether’s Follower Framework If using Nether's Follower Framework, an exception is added concerning extra inventory and outfits, hiding those features to Jenna by default. Outfit dialogue is not hidden if a NFF outfit slot is in use for her. RDO Works fine with RDO and will automatically generate an NPC "exception" in RDO to allow Jenna to function separately. In other words, works outside of it and is not affected by it. Grey Cowl of Nocturnal Automatically integrates with Grey Cowl of Nocturnal and adds some idle lines and the ability to buy bags of dates from Reguard merchants. Keep in mind that until you reach the desert, the dungeon interiors are not navmeshed for companions. You may wish to wait to bring Jenna along until you get the ability to go back and forth freely. As above, also supports the standalone version of "Camels and New Animals in Alik'r Desert". MCM Control Comprehensive MCM menu under "Nether's Jenna". There are several sections with choices you can make to customize her and Katya. These should be self explanatory. Katya's page only opens up when you rescue her. 12. Version 2.1.1

    5,078 downloads

Nether’s Jen & Kat Version 2.1 Full-featured follower duo, starting in Whiterun with Jen. 13. Sorry, I tend to use the same resources so I just have links in the readme for both. No, it's SSE only.
  14. View File Nether's Eola Nether's Eola A wickedly macabre, darkly humorous re-imagination of Skyrim's Eola. Features an enhanced, tweaked follower with plenty of options, an additional follower by the way of Nimphaneth (wood elf cannibal necromancer), extensive idle interactions between Eola and Nimph (if you use them both), harvesting of "tasty meat" from recently killed humanoids (can be used as potent food by cannibals or enhanced with discoverable reciples), and additional lootable skulls that you can collect to gain blessings from Namira. Note: This mod is intended to be tongue in cheek, much like the sarcasm of the "Addams Family" movies, 80's and 90's quippy horror, and expand upon elements introduced in the game. It does play with necromancy and cannibalism in a humorous way and should not be taken seriously. Some lines spoken by Eola and Nimphaneth have adult context or play with modernisms and movie references. While this mod focuses on humor, both followers are very capable as in-game companions. The overall goal of this series of mods is to further expand vanilla characters introduced in the game and give them a unique feel, even between different NPCs that utilize the same voice actor. REQUIREMENTS: - Dawnguard and Dragonborn must be installed and active in your load order. - SKSE64 - SkyUI (there is an MCM for followers provided) - UNP or CBBE-based body (vanilla body is not supported) - OPTIONAL High Poly Head requires High Poly Head 1.4 by KouLeifoh (at least the base mod) RECOMMENDED: - XP32 Maximum Skeleton Extended - A multi-follower manager is recommended if you want to use Eola and the bonus follower, Nimphaneth, together. NFF, AFT, EFF and frameworks based on the vanilla dialogue follower system are supported. This mod is more fun with both Eola and Nimphaneth together as a pair. INSTALLATION: - Fomod Installer (supports SSE only). - Choose your Head Type (High Poly or Standard) - Choose the type of Eola Replacer (supports Nether's Eola as seen in mod screenshots, Eola from Bijin Warmaidens, Eola from Coldsun's Creations, and Vanilla (also choose this option if you use Fresh Faces). Nimphaneth will still use the head and hair options from this mod. - Choose your Body Type (CBBE or UNP) - Choose Eola's Hair Color (only if you selected Nether's Eola) - Blonde, Red or Silver. - Choose Nimphaneth's Hair Color - Brown, Red or Black. - Choose Eola's Eye Option (only if you selected Nether's Eola) - Left Eye Blind or Left Eye Grey. HIGHLIGHTS: - Enhanced version of Eola with custom perks, combat style and ability to select which spells she can use and her overall power (via the MCM). - Additional Nimphaneth follower with custom spells, perks, combat style and ability to select which spells she can use and her overall power (via the MCM). - Both followers include lots of unique, custom dialogue and idles. If you use both followers via a multi-follower manager, they will interact with each other - for this reason, it's a lot more fun if you use them both together. - Easily assign up to 5 outfits and easily switch between them. - "Tasty Meat" can be harvested from bodies that cannibals (including player) can use as health food. You can discover 12 additional recipes for turning this food into more potent versions, some with special effects. - Collectables - You can find special skulls in boss chests, 25 in total. For every 5 collected, you can gain a blessing from Namira (bonus to Health, Magicka or Stamina - your choice). Multiple choices from gaining more skulls can stack. - Customize mod features via the MCM menu. Yes, you can turn off features you don't like. GENERAL: - Offers Eola as an enhanced, improved follower once the "Taste of Death" quest has completed. You can use this mod whether you have completed the quest or haven't started it yet. - Taste of Death is a vanilla quest that starts near the Hall of the Dead in Markarth. After the quest is complete, you may find Eola in Reachcliff Cave, if you have completed this some time ago in your current game. - This mod offers and additional follower, Nimphaneth, a wood elf cannibal necromancer that is expanded from the vanilla version. In all respects she works like an additional or alternative follower once Eola is obtainable. This mod doesn't provide multiple follower support but works with multiple follower managers and there is extra interaction idles if both followers are with you at the same time. If Nimphaneth was killed during Taste of Death, going into the MCM and unchecking Allow Nimphaneth and then re-checking it will resurrect her. What if I don't want to be a Cannibal? - Do Namira's quest but don't engage in cannibalism. However, Nimph and Eola are cannibals. You can toggle many of the features of this mod to configure it to your own "tastes" or you can not use the mod if you are bothered by it. Does this support Namira For Good Guys? - Yes, you can trick Namira if your character is morally obligated. However, Nimph and Eola will remain as they are designed. See above. I don't want to do the quest, can I just have Eola? No, do the quest. It takes like 10 minutes. It is one of the quickest quests to obtain a capable follower (even under a pure Vanilla aesthetic). Walkthrough: https://en.uesp.net/wiki/Skyrim:The_Taste_of_Death APPEARANCE: - Modernizes but keeps the aesthetic style Eola and Nimphaneth. - Scultped face, customized face overlay. - Choice of multiple hair colors in the installer. For Eola: Blonde, Red and Silver. For Nimphaneth: Brown, Black and Red. - Includes face, brow and eye textures. Eye textures are custom created. - Eola has a blind left eye (lore friendly) but there is option for both eyes grey. - Includes head and body maps (UNP and CBBE based bodies). Attention to seams between body parts. - There are two different texture sets and both are hand-tweaked. The UNP texture uses Fair Skin Complexion while the CBBE uses a combination of Fair Skin and Pure Skin. VOICE AND RELATIONSHIP: - Eola and Nimph have many customized voice lines - a combination of the VA Synth tool and in-game lines that are re-appropriated. All are tweaked in Audacity. These include a variety of different lines, such as: idles, interactions, hellos, goodbyes and combat. - Several lines will change or be added, based on the built-in Relationship system. - Relationship system that increases in time and when fighting beside them. Starts at Friendly and progresses to Interested and Enamored. At Enamored, they can be married. Each "level" is based on a point system. Just spending time gets you around 100 points a day. Takes around 300 points, total, to get to enamored. - Nimph and Eola can engage in banter with each other as idles. Nearly 60 are included and some have randomized variety built into them. - Idle lines will be postponed while the player is in conversation with an NPC. - They can sometimes comment when the player loots a body or loots a boss chest. - They can both warn the player by talking to them, if sick, low on health potions or low on lockpicks. - There are a lot of puns and comedy built into the lines. Some are sexually suggestive. You can turn off either of these types of lines in the MCM if you wish. They aren't going to say nearly as much if you do. GAMEPLAY: + Shared Abilities and Features + - Improved Heath, Stamina, Magicka (but not over the top). - Both level with the player, indefinately. - Improved Combat Styles. Spellsword for Eola, fights with right hand, casts with the left. Full spellcaster build for Nimphaneth. - You can turn on or off spells that come with them in the MCM, to customize what they use. - Both Eola and Nimphaneth are Protected. You can make them essential or turn off these options to make them killable in game. - Power Boost - Spells are increased in magnitude by 10% starting at level 10 and every 10 levels, up to level 100. - Exclude Summon in Interiors - As there can be limited space in interior spaces and minions can block hallways or otherwise get in the way, you can cause any summons by Eola or Nimphaneth to only occur outdoors. - Link Damage Multiplier to Magnitude - Physical Damage Multiplier is linked to Magnitude of Destruction spells. This allows you to weaken or strengthen both followers in the MCM menu by adjusting their damage multiplier. ++ Eola ++ Voice: Female Sultry Personality: Confident and capable. Devout to Namira. Admiration of the player. Likes: Vampires, depravity, wickedness and all the things Namira stands for. Dislikes: Priests (except for dinner) and draugr. Base Spells (all left handed): - Firebolt, Fireball, Incinerate, Lighting Bolt, Chain Lightning, Thunderbolt, Close Wounds, Fast Healing, Oakflesh, Stoneflesh, Steadfast Ward, Conjure Flame Atronach, Raise Zombie, Reanimate Corpse. Perks: - Savage Strike, Magic Resistance, Augmented Flames, Augmented Shock, Recovery, Regeneration, Armsman 2, Mage Armor. Special Abilities: - Strike from the Shadows (perk) - Attacks from 1-handed weapons (used in the right hand) have an increased critical hit chance of 15% and cause 150% of the weapon's critical hit damage. Only can be done in dark or shadowed areas (light level of 60 or lower). - Hunt the Living (perk) - Eola inflicts 15% extra damage with spells or weapons to any living, humanoid targets. - Vicious (perk) - Eola causes light bleeding damage (3 points per second over 4 seconds) with 1-handed attacks and can occasionally (25%) stagger opponents. Power Boost affects bleeding damage. ++ Nimphaneth ++ Voice: Female Young Eager Personality: Uncertain about her abilities, aloof and a bit airheaded (I modeled her after me). Likes: Spiders, darkness and pontificating in her own special way. Dislikes: Vampires (will not act directly hostile to them). Base Spells (all left handed): - Oakflesh, Close Wounds, Lesser Ward, Greater Ward. Base Perks: - Recovery, Summoner, Twin Souls. Special Abilities: - Wild Magic (spell ability) - Nimphaneth's offensive spells are unpredictable, sometimes freely casting an additional projectile or causing her casting to fizzle. When an additional projectile is fired, it is usually a copy of a spell she is already casting. However, if she is using Ice Spike, there is a 25% chance she will instead cast an ice volley that explodes and does damage to hostile targets within 15 yards. When her casting fizzles, she is silenced for 3 seconds and is unable to cast any spells. Note: the additional spell fired will work on any aimed spell that Nimph knows, even if you teach her different spells though another mod. However, the ice volley only occurs with ice spike and only using right-handed casting (to balance the ability). These chances can be tweaked in the MCM. Improved Ice Spike (spell) - Nimph can cast an improved version of ice spike from either hand, that saves versus magic resistance instead of frost. This makes it effective against most enemies. However, it does slightly less damage that the regular ice spike spell and takes a half-second to cast. - Summon Shade (spell) - Nimph can summon a shade (skeleton) that can manifest as an archer or warrior, and sometimes as a more powerful dark priest. Archers and Warriors scale to 80% of her level and Priests equal her level. Nimph can only have one Shade summoned at a time, even though she has the Twin Souls perk. - Raise Animal (spell) - Nimph is only able to raise animals back from the dead. However, they do last twice as long as normal reanimations. - Efficient Wards (perk) - Nimph can cast and maintain words at half their magicka cost. + Outfit System + You can create up to 5 outfits for Eola and Nimph, via dialogue. When the first outfit is created, it will automatically be worn. Additional outfits can be worn by asking them to wear them. It is recommended that you keep all of their wearable items in their extra storage inventory, which is an unlimited storage space. This is to keep Skyrim's engine from accidentally overwriting any loose wearable items, which might be represented in the same body slot as an outfit item. In the MCM you can assign a hotkey that can be used to switch to any outfits defined for them. If a specific follower is in the crosshair, it will only affect that follower. Otherwise, both will be affected if an outfit is defined in the slot you select. In the MCM, you can also activate an Outfit Preview Mode. This moves their inventory around temporarily to allow them to be treated as if you are directly trading the items to them so that they wear them in real time. This setting does move items around to a temporary container. + Home System + Via dialogue, you can define a home location for each follower. You can choose a base location and once that is defined, you can additional choose between day (6am to 2pm) and night (10pm to 6am) locations. You can also choose which times they sleep (6am, 2pm or 10pm). Sleep lasts for 6 hours and they must be able to find an unowned bed. + Extension to Cannibal and Necromancy + - Expands Cannibalism to allow "tasty meat" to be harvested from bodies (random drop, chance can be adjusted in the MCM). This can be used like potions (food) on any cannibal faction character. Raw tasty meat restores 35 health. - You can find (12) additional Tasty Meat recipes throughout the world in boss chests. Picking up the recipe teaches it to you and allows it to be available at the cooking station. These can produce increased resistances (for an hour) or heal Health, Stamina or Magicka. - Eola and Nimph can feast on a dead body after a kill, increasing their health and health regen for a few minutes. Only can occur once per hour. Currently, they randomly take turns feasting after combat has ended. - The player can sometimes find and collect special skulls (bronze, chrome, copper, ebony and opal) from boss chests. There are 25 in total. For every 5 found (of any type) will grant a Blessing of Namira, allowing the player to choose to increase Health, Stamina or Magicka by 30. These bonuses stack and you can mix and match blessings (for example, if you find 15 skulls you can pick health twice and stamina once). Finding all 25 skulls also grants a perk point. + Changes to Taste of Death and Reachcliff Cave + - For compatibility, the quest itself is left unscathed. I did add an additional invisible bomb (conditional trigger) that kills all enemies in a large radius when you bring the priest back to be sacrificed in the hallway right before you get to the cannibal chamber. There is a game bug where the entire cannibal coven will turn on you if enemies are in the room and mods that spawn additional enemies can make this worse. So I just kill them. It doesn't affect any cannibals or followers. - Should be compatible with Namira for Good Guys or cannibalism mods. If you bring someone back to be sacrificed other than the priest via a mod, the trigger will not fire off to fix the enemies bug. - Once Eola is your follower you can take a key from her inventory that opens a trap door to the outside. You can quickly go back and forth from the outside to the cannibal room. This is in place for future features. MCM SUPPORT: - Toggle all of Eola and Nimphaneth's spells so you can customize what they use. - Set Power Scaling (destruction magnitude and physical damage multiplier) of both, up to 200% (or weaken them). Works on spells you give them through other mods. - Set Conjuration spells to work in interiors (or not). Works on spells you give them through other mods. - See status of Taste of Death Quest. - See status of Relationship with Eola, you can set it to whatever rank you want to. - Toggle both Essential or Protected. - Set chance of Tasty Meat dropping from bodies. - Allow them to feast on dead bodies (or not). - Enable Nimphaneth follower (will resurrect if dead). - Tweak frequency and chance of commentary (chance is done on a "per line" basis). - Enable Lewd comments - these are more suggestive - some are right out there. None are downright filthy. Still pretty lore friendly. - Enable Humor comments - silly references and jokes, pretty lore friendly. There is a fair amount of humor so disabling this may greatly reduce available lines. PHASE ONE: - Nether's Eola is in a Phase One stage, where a complete follower package is released with interactions and some additional gameplay elements. - Phase Two will expand on what is in place already and has a goal of adding quest content. This mod has been in the works for many months and I wanted to provide a cutoff point for now to allow a Halloween release. - I have no interest of trying to ESL a file of this size, which I'm likely to expand. I firmly believe ESL should be for simpler mods that are unlikely to change very much. - Occasionally Nimphaneth or Eola will not feed on a body or the feeding animation will not fire. There are usually plenty of additional opportunities for this in a play session. They will also feed on dead vampires, because... sure. They will also feed on dead vampires, because... sure.
