So... I want to make a mod... (HELP!)

Hey there, Si(n)mers!

 

I recently got into the game and I'm having LOADS of fun with whicked whims, but the relationships leave a bit to be desired... way too simple, way to vanilla.

 

So I thought "How hard can making a TS4 mod be anyways?"... Turns out quite harder than I thought. I have Python (latest) installed, the script decompiled and have learnt Python syntax and have an IDE. Coding is not the problem... it's the data structure. I've gone through MAXIS info and other tutorials, but I end up even more confused afterwards. Any of you people who know how to make things happen in TS4 could help me figure this out or point me to a thorough, step-by-step Tuning for dummies?

 

I am hesitant to ask in places like MTS because the nature of what I want to do (D/s relationships and pimping (eventually), yes I'll start small anyways with simpler things...).

 

So... Help?

I've been figuring out many things on my own, but I'm still confused by many things, like how the hashes and keys work exactly...

I know nothing about modding and coding, but you should try the sims4studio forum, Sacrificial released some sick mod over there (with todler killing everyone, beating your wife etc ...), they must know a lot about data structure over there. As long as you don't post pornographic content you should be fine.
