NPC mouth moves, says "..."

She won't enter dialogue and has a BIG smile. 

Currently this post is JUST to check if anyone has seen this problem before. 

If by tonight nobody has, I'll add my mod list, load order, details, etc.

Who is SHE, are they a custom NPC?

While I have had silent npcs before it is usually related to them not having any dialogue whatsover. A mod list would definitely help in determining what dialogue choices are trying to be fetched.

first thoughts:

- BIG smile? sounds more like a problem with the sims 3 or 4

- maybe she has some debauchery in mind but is too shy to ask

- what did you say to her before she stopped talking?

 

second thoughts:

- if it happens after a DEFEAT event -> open defeat MCM -> click clean defeat

- if your girl is a PAHE slave and she enslaved you -> reload an older slave...err...save xD

- if it happend after a DCL cursed loot event or DCL rape -> check DCL debug "fix followers"

- only use 1 mod to control followers: eff/UFO/aft not all at the same time

- if you are running DCL bondage adventure quest and you have used a function to call your follower -> finish the quest first, sometimes that sloves the issue

- maybe your girl is stuck in an animation -> try and pickpocket her stuff or use a mod to manipulate the equipment, that sometimes help to stop a weapon draw animation or things like that

- if its a custom follower and has his own MCM -> check for debug options

- if nothing helps -> click on her and type resurrect in console (last resort! keep a save)

- if you have RDO installed -> maybe you follower is still in battle in another cell, trigger the RDO calm spell

- open your save with save cleaner tool and check for orphs or broken scripts, maybe some script could not finish or is stuck/broken

- cast a SL spell on her and start a SL animation -> its crazy how many issues can be sloved like that... dont try that at work tho^^
