raptor4d4 Posted May 12, 2018 Posted May 12, 2018 I have an OC with blue hair and would like to assemble a wardrobe for her that will mix well with her hair color. Sexy armors, robes and clothing with a blue color scheme seem to be a bit rare in my searches. Anyone know of any? They don't have to be all blue but have blue mixed into the color scheme. Or if you yourself have any blue-haired characters and have some outfits that you think mesh well that aren't blue, feel free to share them too. I use UUNP Bodyslide so if they are compatible with that it will be a big plus. Thanks in advance!
Disposable55645 Posted May 12, 2018 Posted May 12, 2018 Maybe this: https://bethesda.net/en/mods/skyrim/mod-detail/4012404 Edit: damn. Can't find the original mod any more...
Varithina Posted May 13, 2018 Posted May 13, 2018 The art of magic https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/1040, with the uunp conversion found on this site, or here https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/86769 has a few blue robes, some opaque some transparent as well as skirts, corsets and a wrapped tops and boots. There is an author on here that did a load of uunp conversions ages ago that had multi colours added and most of them had blue with them, try looking at the author name of Minou, though most seem to be cbbe rather than uunp.
raptor4d4 Posted May 15, 2018 Author Posted May 15, 2018 A lot of good armors recommended so far. But still having trouble finding the right one. Also for some reason ran into missing texture glitches with that Art of Magic one...

Also for some reason ran into missing texture glitches with that Art of Magic one... Yup, there was a supposed fix posted on one of the uunp conversion pages on nexus but that link is long dead, have the same problem using the base unp version all the colours what not work fine, but use the bodyslide conversions from any of the 3 version I know of missing textures on some of the items, mostly the robes/ghost robes and a few other things, which is one of the things I am trying to sort out on my own load order as I love the art of magic But I think it could really do with somebody who knows what they are doing to now go through and in effect re-build the mod from the ground up taking into account changes to how meshes/alternate textures and such have changed in the base game over the years since it was created, though I very much doubt anybody will do so as it would be a major job to do so.

Zebot Posted May 16, 2018 Posted May 16, 2018 you can try that armor out... In my opinion is totally worth it If you need help finding more, don't hesitate to ask XD
Corsayr Posted May 16, 2018 Posted May 16, 2018 You could just find an armor you like and retexture it to be blue. Like the armor, you are wearing in the picture above if you just replace the texture DDS with this file egypt01.dds It should be blue. Well, the gold parts anyway. Ok so maybe a little more blue is needed, but you get the idea. There is a lot of trial and error involved in retexturing. Spoiler
Corsayr Posted May 16, 2018 Posted May 16, 2018 This is a more blue version egypt01.dds Spoiler Though personally, I like the first one better with your blue hair color, the gems are blue enough in that one to bring out your hair coloring.

Corsayr Posted May 17, 2018 Posted May 17, 2018 3 hours ago, itsasecret123 said: I've never tried retexturing before. How is it done? Well, the short answer to that is you make changes to the .DDS files in the texture folders of the outfits. A typical Outfit mod will look something like this with a Caliente folder that holds all the bodyslide information / a meshes folder that holds all the geometry data / a texture folder for all the "skins" color and details. / an esp file to put it in the game world / and lastly a meta.ini so MO and NMM can tell what version it is so it can let you know when there is an update. Spoiler If you look in the texture folder you will find several .DDS files that basically give the outfit its surface features coloring shadowing details etc. the ones ending in _n and _m are a LOT more complicated concept wise and should not be messed with unless you have done a significant amount of reading and gotten MUCH better information on how they work and what they do. So for your purposes you will want to ONLY focus on the ones that do not have an _n or _m in the name. In this case egypt01 egypt02 and egypt03 Spoiler In this case, we will look at egypt03. To edit a .dds file you will need a dds editor (I use GIMP because it is free). To get fancier you may also want an image editor with more tools (for that I use Paintshop) This is what GIMP looks like Spoiler Any changes you make to that DDS file will be stretched over the outfit. So if you turn it red the outfit becomes red. basically... You can also use GIMP to convert the DDS file to a JPG and then use Paintshop or some other photo editing software that has more features. Once you have changed the JPG to your liking GIMP can convert it back to being a DDS file which can be used to replace the texture file the outfit is using. Fair warning... What I have just described is a laughably simplified explanation of how to retexture. If you take away only one thing from this it should be, changes to the DDS file will appear on the outfit. I encourage you to just give it a try, and make sure to backup your originals.
