Was Adrianne suppose to follow me to Riverwood to speak with Sigrid/Dorothe?  Answer is probably Yes.... but she is still following me after returning to Whiterun. How do I now release her?

a bit more info would be nice, for example:

what is the name of the quest

what mod triggers said quest

is the quest completed

 

no one can help you if you simply ask, this and this happens is it supposed to do so.

and thus remember to always give as much relevant  information to your problem and/or inquiry, as we can't read your mind

Adrianne is not supposed to follow you in the vanilla game so it must be a mod that's causing it.

according to your title it's involved in a blacksmith quest

vanilla skyrim has as far as i know only 2 quests involving adrienne, the help around the forge, where you basically learn the basics of the crafting function,

and to take a sword up to her father in dragonsreach.

 

this means whatever other quest she's involved in, is a mod

now i repeat my question for information:

1  what is the quest name involving you inquiry

2  what mod might it be tied in to

3  is the quest marked as complete

 

without any of these points we can not help you at all

#1 is the most important as this provides us with info that can be traced

#2 makes it easier to find the quest and possibly identify the problem

#3 is just for added info that might help

 

except.. do you have any mods installed that allow you to take on extra followers and do they or any of your mods allow you to recruit npcs that are not normally marked as possible followers

 

like i said in my previous post. in order to get help with an issue, provide as much information as you can

If you're asking about the one in Davakiin's Infamy you are better off asking in that thread, not the general technical support forum.

The confusion here is (I believe) how questions r posted here & where they wind up.. I go to the mod itself & hit "Get Support". So, I am thinking my post is for that mod only. Apparently that is not how posts r handled here. I couldn't even find my first post about this (even in the search tab).  The mod is Dovakiin"s Infamy. It's the Quest the modder calls The Blacksmith Quest. Adriienne was to follow me to Riverwood to speak to Sigrid & Dorothe as part of this quest.  She did that but is still following me. The quest is not complete. I am certain the modder did not intend to have Adrienne continue to follow me forever. Most likely... this occurred because Serana is in tow & does not play well with AFT which I use. Typically, what I do is play with Serana until Harkon is dealt with & I then dismiss her Normal. If using any other follower, I simply dismiss them Normally until I get Serana's father dealt with. Can't though in this case because Serana will not leave even if u ask her...not until her father is dealt with. I understand no modder can cover for every eventuality. I'm just letting others know to prepare themselves & do this mod b4 or after U take care of Serana. I may too be way off with my assessment of why this happened. Was trying to c if there was anything I can do about this.
