Bad issue involving "AI packages not updating"

If you were interested in the Whiterun Brothel Revamped mod, chances were that if you looked in the support section u saw me struggling to make it work.
Here's where it started, and it goes on for 2 pages or so until I just gave up on the mod.

 

I decided to post it the issue here as it's obviously not related to the mod, and I get the same problem in another mod, SLUTS redux

 

I talk to Bjorlam, he's supposed to cast a spell on me, but he just stands there doing nothing while I can't move.

 

The problem is that apparently, the AI packages that suppose to be fired off, won't get fired off.
Which is probably why the npc's just stand there untill I engage dialogue with them and do their thing.
I can also make it work again by quicksaving and reloading the save, but that doesn't seem like a good way to make the mod work.

 

I'm not sure what else I can do at this point.

My two cents here as you seem to have a very delicate mods install:

 

1. Load Order:

 

OneTweak already includes ShowRaceMenu Precache Killer, but really, to have OneTweak installed would be redundant now as ENBoost have the bordeless windows and Double Cursor Fix mode too:

"Borderless Window should be done in ENBoost. Showracemenu precache killer isn't needed with the Sheson memory patch. Double Cursor Fix is redundant with ENBoost. Changing TESV process priority should be done by adding -priority <level> argument to SKSE. Bug Fixes by meh321 could be very usefull paired with Crash Fixes by the same author, it's a SKSE plugin that fixes some engine related bugs in game.

Fuz Ro D-oh - Silent Voice is recommended for the silent dialogues to appear and required for DAYMoYL (Death Alternative - Your Money or Your Life) or some fragment will not trigger properly.

Should always be loaded last in your mods install, the only exception being to have another mod that edits and have compatibility issues with these two plugins, like SexLab_Solution and RDO which must be placed after these, for example.

 

2. Having AS-LAL and launching your game by loading a start save and then your current savegame is a well known practice when having a heavy scripted mods install with AS-LAL and often fixes loading scripts issues:

How to create a save basestart to load first and load your save after for playing your game:

  • Start a new game in the starting cell.
  • Wait for all MCM menus to appear, don't move and don't touch anything nor dare to open your in-game menus.
  • Open the console and type: save basestart
  • Quit the game with the console command: qqq
  • Reboot your PC, load your game and savegame, let all the scripts go and activate SexLab Framework, do your MCM settings, redo a new save named what you want and go for venture ...

And never delete save basestart because this will serve you as a workaround each time you play in case your game crashes when loading saves with heavily scripted mods, as the script engine needs to be started in a certain way and a blank game just at the starting cell of AS - LAL does the trick. Once loaded, load your regular game file.

 

3. Now concerning some papyrus tweaks with heavy scripted mods:

It might be good to test and experiment some papyrus tweaks in Skyrim.ini when you have a heavy load of SL Mods - normaly you shouldn't have to and these settings are best keeping untouched as going over these could do more harm then good depending on your hardware and mods setup, the original settings are at:

You can also try with:

as this tweak allows more time for Papyrus scripts to execute when loading a new area. This minimizes errors caused by scripts not finishing before the allotted time has expired.

 

Always do a Skyrim.ini and SkyrimPrefs.ini files backup before making any tweaks.

You are a saint.

For some reason I didn't have Fuz Ro Doh enabled in my modlist, and it was the problem all along.
I installed it again and the problematic dialogues progressed as normal.

 

Really, Thanks a lot. Can finally play the mod I wanted to play for this properly.

Happy that it has served you. I do not want to ruin your joy of finally being able to play your mod ingame but on the other hand all is not settled: you will certainly have to restart a new playthrough to avoid having additional worries afterwards. I could notice much errors due to orphaned scripts in your papyrus.log as your actual save game is retaining data from uninstalled mods and/or updates. This can be cleaned by means of this tool: Save game script cleaner, read the descriptive page of the mod for its use. It could evolve into something serious if it's ignored and you keep playing.


Can you post a papyrus.log file with a new game start so that I can review and compare them, please?

I can start a new playthrough. haven't made much progress in the previous one so I don't mind.
 

I'll make a new save using the basestart u posted and post the papyrus.

Done, quitted the game after saving the game with the configured settings and such.
 

2 things I notice is that since the dawn of time, everytime i play modded skyrim, I always get these same ZaZ related errors / warnings in my log
