PacoMax1 Posted April 19, 2018 Posted April 19, 2018 So, I've been doing research about this for almost two days and it seems to be a widely known issue. The thing is this: Every mod I install makes the game "unloadable"? Because the vanilla game running from Mod Organizer seems to be ok (also from outside MO), but the thing is that, even a single mod makes the game file unloadable, because I can play, sabe, do anything, but when it comes to loading a save file it just does the CTD, I mean it started yesterday, no new mods added to that savefile but suddenly it just didn't load, went to Steam and verified the game cache, just re-downloaded the Update and DLC esm, that's all what it did, also I deleted the ini files and made the game to make them again but the issue still persists. Going to try a full re-install of Skyrim SE and update this, but at the moment I'm looking for opinions if anyone know what to do or how to put the band-aid on the mortal wound. Currently trying with these mods installed: Spoiler Skyrim.esm Update.esm Dawnguard.esm Hearthfires.esm Dragonborn.esm Unofficial Skyrim Special Edition Patch.esp ApachiiHair.esm SGEyebrows.esp (from the UNP body optional stuff) 12BemaleBrows.esp (from the Leyenda skin optional stuff) XPMSE.esp UNPB Vanilla Outfits.esp FNIS.esp FNIS_PCEA2.esp SkyUI_SE.esp Bijim AIO.esp KS Hairdo's.esp Luna_GoV.esp Customizable Camera.esp Book of UUNP -Book of UUNP - Textures.esp -Book of UUNP Iron And Steel.esp LADX_SSE.esp RaceMenu -RaceMenu.esp -RaceMenuPlugin.esp Alternate Start - Live Another Life.esp So as you can see there is no reason from missing masters or even conflicts but more important are few mods, I tried unticking AFT first to see if it was about the script strings limit thing but looks like it's not related.
Exodite Posted April 20, 2018 Posted April 20, 2018 I had a similar experience myself and managed to narrow it down to something SKSE-related. It's not perfect, I've not been able to load every save that previously made me CTD, but starting the game without SKSE (running the Skyrim exe rather than SKSE that is) allowed me to load some previously inaccessible saves. Working from that I made new saves in a clean cell and then restarted with SKSE. This allowed me to progress and load saves again. I don't know for certain what caused it, there are no error logs or the like, and it might not be the same issue you're having but since it was a fairly easy fix for me it should be worth trying out. I mention this in particular because your setup is quite similar to mine, notably you're running the same SKSE-related mods I am (SkyUI, RaceMenu).
tasairis Posted April 20, 2018 Posted April 20, 2018 The recent update to XPMSSE (now called XPMSE again) has issues with saves. Revert to the previous version and go back to a save before you upgraded.
PacoMax1 Posted April 20, 2018 Author Posted April 20, 2018 Thanks for the info and indeed, before doing the re-install i was suspecting either about XPMSE or even SKSE, but XPMSE takes the cake, even if everything works as it should. But yeah, after the re-install I could say that XPMSE was the one causing problems, BUT, the thing is, I did not have the previous version of XPMSE, soooooo, it's all gone to hell I think, or at least for now

PacoMax1 Posted April 22, 2018 Author Posted April 22, 2018 Well kinda news update, now the game is crashing, not on load but while playing and I mean the stuff with XPMSSE is done, the previous versión indeed Works but this one is kinda harder to determine what is making the crash, although I think is related to starting combat because, with the vanilla intro when you get up and start playing, where Ralof asks you to go with him in a building with Ulfric, combat starts, Alduin is marked on the compass as enemy. and with Alternate Start, using any choice, as long as a red dot appears on the compass the game crashes, so yeah, here goes the current load order, of course, this is on every new save So yeah, load order: Spoiler # This file was automatically generated by Mod Organizer.
