Bondage-themed 2D Platformer

Hey everyone!

 

Just wanted to post here in case anyone's interested, I'm currently working on a simple bondage-themed 2D platformer for Windows if you're into those sorts of things. Be warned, I'm not a particularly great artist, so the pixel art is a bit rough on the eyes The basic gist is that when your character runs out of health, instead of getting a game over, you are "captured" and tied up somewhere in the level. Then there's a little minigame where you have to struggle your way free. Be careful, though, as with each escape you'll get trussed up tighter and tighter~ Fail to get out in time and you might never be heard from again...

 

It's still in development so there's not much to it, just one level with more in development. Input is always appreciated!

I think its fun! i like the escape mini game, just needs some mmpphs imo lol.

 

What is your overall intention, or goal that you have in mind, Like new bosses and such?

 

Like I said, good job so far and i cant wait to see what comes next!

Thanks~ I'd like to add some gag sounds, but I haven't had much luck with making/finding any that fit well with the other retro sounds. Adding in normal sound effects sounds strange next to the chiptunes and "bitty" sounds.

 

Right now I'm working on a new level that is mummy-themed. The Alien level has already been expanded, that's just waiting to be released. I'm not sure if I have an end goal per se, I think the core features are pretty much done, it's mostly about content creation now.

Hmm... Looks like I can't play this game.

 

First, my anti-virus claimed it was a trojan, even though the scan didn't reveal anything. It only claimed it when I tried to start the first level.

And it CTD'ed.

So I then added the whole folder to the exclusions after having checked a virus scanner online. Thinking it's probably just a false positive.

 

Anyway, I still CTD when I try and start the first level. I've even tried disabling Kaspersky all together. Even though it wasn't giving my any warnings anymore after having added it to the exclusions list.

 

And I've tried replacing all the files by extracting the Release.zip again.

 

So I'm fairly certain it's the game that can't seem to load in on the first level. (Or the second one.)

I'd send you my log if there was one, but I can't seem to find one. So I don't think there is one.  

 

Kind of a shame, would have been interesting to check this one out.

Yes, Kaspersky hates it for some reason. It doesn't connect to the network or access system files, so it's not that. I've tried looking into what might be the problem, but I've had no luck. People who had issues with Kaspersky continued to have issues when they added it to the exclusions and tried turning it off, I haven't had any luck fixing that. My only guess is that Kaspersky might set rules in Windows Defender or some other native application that blocks the game from running even when Kaspersky is disabled, but I don't really have a way to test that theory.

 

If you want you can zip up the contents of the extracted folder and upload it, and I'll check to see if during the extraction/running any of the files are deleted. There's no log, unfortunately, I'm lazy and didn't have the foresight to create one.
