I cant purchase Lakeview Manor, says I dont have enough Gold.

So, I did all the quests for Falkreath to purchase the Land and become Thane. However, when I go to talk to the Steward, the only dialogue options I have are:
"I'm a bit short on money right now"
"I'll have to think about it"
Thing is, I have Double the required gold to purchase the land. Any Suggestions?

Short of consoling the money, maybe you have a mod installed that alters the lot cost? More expensive services and assets comes to mind as one of such mods.

"show BYOHHPCost" (without quotes) in console should show you the land cost. (35,000 in my case  )

i ran into this bug (or a similar one) a while back.

the way i got past it was to have exactly the right amount of cash on me.  not 1 septim more or less but the exact right amount.

if it is the same bug i hit this should work...if it is something different i do not know what else to suggest.

Thanks Y'all! I got it working, it costed 15,000 rather than the 5,000 it said. Thanks for the help!
