Editing NPCs In-Game

Is there a mod that allows using something similar to the "showracemenu" command on NPCs or followers? I know it's possible to do so through the CK, but something that could be used in-game in real time would be so much more convenient.

I don't know of any that let you *fully* edit an NPC, but Extensible Follower Framework has a 'Tattoo' command built into its menus that just-so-happens to also allow you to edit an NPC's Bodyslide morphs and a few other details, in addition to facepaints (letting you use makeup on them, if you have a pack that adds them to that section). It's not comprehensive, but it's the most I'm personally aware of.

Perhaps you can use Alternate Actors and edit the npc after switching.
