[Question] How to use shoulder slot WITHOUT using the body slot? Is it even possible?

Hey guys. I Always loved the shouldpads on the dwarven body from the CT77 mod but since it isn't compatible with my actual nude body i tried making a pauldron part only so that the bodyshape could be preserved without having to create a seperate mesh in outfit studio. But apparently it doesn't like to work that way. I managed to get it to work with BODY on but then the bodyshape of the armor overwrites the nude body. Any idea how to do this?

You would have to change the armor slot for the shoulder pads themselves. Most independent shoulder pads for mods typically utilize an unnamed armor slot so they can work by themselves without using the body slot which is 32. The mod I use, utilizes the slot number 58 so it doesn't make the nude body go away.

 

However, if you like the dwarven armor and don't want to do the leg work of going through the TES5Edit and Nifskope to fixing everything, I would suggest getting The Amazing World of Bikini Armor. It has the dwarven armor and separate armor pauldrons.

SBP_57_MOD_SHOULDER is the slot for shoulders 58 is arms.

Thank you bth for your answers! I'll defintely check out that mod VCFeticher and myuhinny i already used 57.

 

Btw i made a thread about pauldrons in the adult section which has the modified files in it so people could get better understanding of what i mean. (i sorta...lost track of this thread. sorry about that)

 

edit: VCHetcher the mod you mentions has literally everything i could wish for INCLUDING body slides! Though, still i'm gonn keep the other one up just to see what other might think.
