How do I install ENB binaries?

Recommended Posts

Instruction from the author himself, on the Nexus mod page for Rudy ENB SE:

- Download latest ENB - http://enbdev.com/mod_tesskyrimse_v0325.htm, ( a black arrow at the bottom of the page ).
- Copy d3d11.dll and decompiler_46e.dll and paste into your Skyrim SE folder

Now you see, the author is pointing to a specific version (v0325) which isn't available for download, but you should be fine using the v0327 one (http://enbdev.com/mod_tesskyrimse_v0327.htm). The same instructions apply, download the rar file (from the black arrow on that page), copy "d3d11.dll" and "decompiler_46e.dll" (which are under the "WrapperVersion" folder) to your Skyrim SE folder (which should be under "Steam\steamapps\common\Skyrim SE" or something like that, I don't know the specific Skyrim SE folder as I don't have that one installed now, also the Steam folder is where you installed Steam... so under C:\Program files, or D:\...). And yes, you only need those two files from the ENB website, the others can be deleted. Then you install the files from Rudy ENB on the same Skyrim SE folder.

After I install the two files from enbdev.com, how do I install the Rudy ENB from nexusmods?

Keep in mind this is Skyrim special edition and not oldrim.

Just... keep readying the instructions from Rudy ENB, I guess you're trying to use this one https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/4796

So the instructions...:

INSTALLATION:

- Download latest ENB - http://enbdev.com/mod_tesskyrimse_v0325.htm, ( a black arrow at the bottom of the page ).
- Copy d3d11.dll and decompiler_46e.dll and paste into your Skyrim SE folder
- Copy and paste my files into your Skyrim SE directory
- Install : ELE - SE or ELFX SE or RLO SE
- Don't use the RLO weathers
- Use ELFX with Ehhancer
- Place the Interior Lighting mod after the Weather mod in your load order

When he says "Copy and paste my files into your Skyrim SE directory" he means... copy and paste his files (the file downloaded from the Nexus page)... Note that there are several versions depending on the weather mods you may have. You only need one of those. Then follow the instructions, actually try to read the whole description.

All of the files or just some of them?

C'mon, if the instructions specify certain files take those, if not take all of them. Normally an ENB preset needs just the dll files from the ENB website, then all the files from the Nexus page are part of the preset. So... all of them unless the author told you otherwise (as he had on previous steps).
