skse problems with legendary skyrim

I'll start with, for a good 2 years i have had more a less the same MO setup, never had messed with skse setup, never had updated enb binary(i only use boost, which i got from an old guide making adjustments in enblocal ini) i feel my setup was good. i recently updated my enb binary to help alleviate occasional invisible npc from Botox for Skyrim mod. It helped a lot but i had slight lag when rotating my character that i did not have prior to enb binary update. i tried so many things to reduce that lag and said "forget it" and reverted back to old enb binary. I always launch game with skse from MO. at 1 point trying to fix lag with newer enb file i had launched game from steam to access options, thinking adjusting there would help with lag. i think that's where i messed up. My executables in MO started giving me weird errors pointing me to my app data temp files. My skse starting acting very unusually. I ended up doing a fresh install through steam and I still cant get skse to act properly. i thought i had it at one point after initial resteam upload got me to a point where after installing skse and get warning i retried some hard backup that i manually made and it seemed to work. then i installed memory block log, which i had used without issue after hard back ups had been made, and ran it, it worked but after launching skse in MO again i once again got skse error.  I cant help but think having had launched loader from inside steam and app data temp files have something to do with it.   i ran a test on my computer and everything came back good. Running my antivirus now, when its done going to look and clean inside of computer. outside of that im stumped.

MO sometime "forget" the initial checking of changed basictools / mods (for example, if the Creator Kit has a new install)... try to delete the basic icon on the right site for skse, close MO and then restart MO... skse should be there again... and working, if the install of skse was correct

if i understand you right, your saying in MO remove skse as executable and close MO then open MO. I cant remove skse as an executable. I can remove the info, title, binary, start in. but removing skse executable i believe would only happen if i took 1-3  skse files out of skyrim folder.

you should not delete the files from the directory (physically)... just the reference inside the menu (where "Creation Kit, Loot, SKSE and so on is listed)... after closing the menu, closing MO and restart, MO will automatically rebuild some programicons and their references (like SKSE, Creation Kit and LOOT) if they are installed without failures

MO is not letting me. The greyed out executables, MO doesnt let me remove those.  In the pic i posted when i click on one those greyed out ones, remove button is not active. Tahts from under gears icon.  Where i access those executables, i can hit edit, i get same window pop up as in pic and once again the remove button is not active with greyed out executables. I did delete the info and hit it close. when i opened back up and clicked on skse the info returned. Hoping that did it. I have to take off for awhile, when i get back I'm going to test some. appreciated response

If they are gray then they are not installed by MO but in the normal game directory.

And SKSE is a good thing it is directly installed in the game directory.

Just try to reinstall it.
