[Help] Invisible wall behind male npcs. Watch Video

Hi guys, As the tittle says i have weird bug with male npc who are involved in activity like sitting, baking, cooking etc.

I have had this bug for a very long time but did not bother fixing it. Only Happens to males and females. Need help!

I noticed it too, I don't know why it happens. Probably because the hitbox do not fit the animation?

My guess is that it is just a vanilla hitbox issue with some of these animations where the game thinks the NPC's body is blocking you (because of how they move forward to use furniture).  Out of curiosity I tried recreating your video and the only NPC that cause the "wall" in the inn I was in was a male Argonian.  Perhaps it is race specific.

 

Either way probably not something worth worrying about unless you want to bring it to the attention of the people who maintain the Unofficial patch (assuming it happens in the base game unmodded).

I didn't know this was vanilla bug. I thought it was caused by some mod. but i don't think hitbox should be this far from male npcs and also why don't female npcs have this bug? check this video: https://vimeo.com/260189906

I know this is a very old post, but for anyone experiencing this. I had the same issue myself; somehow the male skeleton had been changed. So I switched back to a previous skeleton in one of the backups I had made and the issue disappeared. Unsure which mod caused it, but it was a skeleton issue for me. (The male skeleton nif had gone from 73kb to 29kb).
