extreme lag inside

I have a problem where whenever I enter an interior I get extreme lag. I have a feeling it is because of the amount of textures and npcs in such a small area, but I don't know what is causing it or how to fix it. Any ideas? Here is my load order if that will help

my game has also started to crash every so often, often enough that it gets in the way of play

Lag is normally experienced outside which makes sense because the exterior cells have more junk to process.  Normally interior stutters are not caused by mod plugins, however, recently someone posted on Loverslab here that they were having stutters indoors also and found the problem was HDT Vagina or something.  The post isn't too old, less than a week for sure.  Could be something to look into.  The skeleton is also another place to look at when trying to identify indoor stutters.

thank you, despite the fact that that really sucks. do you know if there is a way to fix it without deleting hdt vagina. i am planning on doing a picture series on the post your sex screen shots thread and the animated vagina would make it so much better

Sorry, I've never tried HDT Vagina just because I feel it requires too much resources for too little gain and my Skyrim is already overfilled with mods and scripts and retextures.

Friend, try a mod like the save cleaner and watch for a line like "too many scripts" it should report you hit any button upon changing a saved game. You don't seem to have too many nice-and-shiny-mods, so I doubt it's texture overload. I set my bet on too many scripts.

 

Try the save cleaner, please, and report back what it sayd (e.g., too many scripts). That would be the easiest starting point.

i used fallrim which does the same thing and it says i dont have any unattached scripts

Well, did it work, or are there no results?

 

Unless no one seems to have a better idea, I'd like to advice the following things:

> check the log files for error reports

> try to narrow what exactly causes the problem by switching out mods, 5 - 10 at a time

 

Some mods can cause heavy stress on your PC - and if combined, they could cause the extreme lag. Not sure how exactly it works together, but I guess mods like SOS, "blush when aroused" and other work that checks NPCs for generic values or adds something to them, those mods ask a lot from the PC.
