Sensual Nautilus Posted September 3, 2012 Posted September 3, 2012 We've all had it. Mine is giving Markarth to the stormcloaks, unaware and uninformed that a douchey person who discriminates and has a really bad personality will take over. share with us your shame and regrets in Skyrim here
Fallen Angel X Posted September 5, 2012 Posted September 5, 2012 Crossing the border to Skyrim illegally. Should've gone the regular way. Letting the imperials kill Lokir before I could.
oblivionwithdongs Posted September 7, 2012 Posted September 7, 2012 pretty much everything i've done i feel bad when i do bad things to people in games like this, i guess since they almost have personalities which means having completed the db and the thieves guild and done miscellaneous mean shit like fed a preist to cannibals i have a lot to regret
Daguy Posted September 13, 2012 Posted September 13, 2012 Hm. I honestly can't say i've played Skyrim enough to have done too much, and not to sound cocky, but I only generally make decisions I know I can live with (in games at atleast, where there is such measure of forsight). A few forced plot points do spring to mind though. Having to kill Rikke to gut Tullius is one. I also regret that I ever helped the Blades; and that they are so arrogant. In Danwguard I kind of regret that you can't... *Spoiler* . . Seriously. . . ...talk Harkon around, into not killing you, and simply explain that the whole prophecy was made up, and what truth it holds is only short bursts of darkness and doesn't require Serana or her mothers death. I liked his character and would have preferred to live in his castle, rather than inherit it (for some reason ahead of Serana).

[/quote'] *Spoiler* even if you told Harkon that, Serana tells you after you get Auriel's bow that you have proven to be too powerful and that Harkon considers you a threat to his rule, so Harkon would try to kill you anyway. not to mention the fact you are a half-breed, which Harkon despises.

[/quote'] Spoiler. Oh, yes, I remember her saying that now. But again, i'm not entirely sure I trust everything she says either. Love the character, but she's a little too nice for an ancient vampire. I think what HArkon said to her about the Player when you go to confront him held some truth. He does attack you if you hand over the bow, but this is after you confront him, and I don't believe you ever fill him in on the details of the prophecy. I don't know about seeign us as a threat, i'm willing to believe Serana ont hat without reservation, perhaps. On the half-breed thing? If we are, the rest of his Court is. The only pure vampires we know of are Harkon, Serana and her mother. Its thin blooded vampires like we find in caves that they all seem to scorn. Either way, good point. Very likely true. I still wonder what might have been though.
thesapien Posted September 20, 2012 Posted September 20, 2012 I just can't have followers with me because I feel responsible when they die. So I travel alone. (Yeah, I could allow my better followers mod set them to immortal, but then I feel like I'm cheating. Plus, I'll admit I hate the way they don't match my pace while walking around, so they stop, run, stop, run, and their footsteps get annoying.) On a similar note, I always feel bad when I can't kill a dragon close to a village quick enough before it kills some of the townsfolk. If only I was quicker...
Lacie Posted September 20, 2012 Posted September 20, 2012 Getting various townspeople killed for running away from a sabre cat, killing a guard while battling said murderous cat, getting arrested and served my time, only to find the cat haven't moved when I came back with dead bodies all over the place. Phew that's a mouthful to say
SummGai Posted September 20, 2012 Posted September 20, 2012 my one regret is losing track of my follower and not remembering who they were or where i lost em, now I can't have a follower anymore :
deltadeath93 Posted October 9, 2012 Posted October 9, 2012 spoiler alert my regret not being able to expose ulfric for the thalmor lackey he aparently is according the the journal i found in there embassy. not healing astrid so she stays alive as a burned to a crisp invalid for what she did. and not being able to use the nightmothers body to make beef jerky to feed to cisiro.
LifeandEd Posted October 10, 2012 Posted October 10, 2012 I regret not being able to kill the last blades for being a pain in the neck. I know there is a mod that let me spare Paarthurnax and keep their support, but I don't want their help. I want them dead. One of these days, I'm going to check UESP for a console command to make essential characters mortal.

Rhavik Posted October 10, 2012 Posted October 10, 2012 I regret doing any (well most) Daedric Shrine quests... I like the changes and the overall feel to the quests, and I think they're much better than previous games. However, I don't like being used as some kind of maladjusted puppet. That said, I don't do most of them.
MasaVK Posted October 10, 2012 Posted October 10, 2012 I regret shouting my horse off a cliff and then hitting quick save instead of quick load

Honestly, I despise them both...but if I want to advance the storyline I'm going to have to make a choice. so far, I am siding with the imperialist faction with plans to slaughter the thalmor after the storyline is done. I refuse to side with racists of any sort.
