FishboneGamingLabs Posted January 31, 2018 Posted January 31, 2018 Ethereal The primary game we are working on, it could be a hit or a mess, we are going to use this mostly to develop new stuff and try new things. This is a SciFi Cyberpunk game, based on the well known RPG Maker MV, but rest assure this won't be your usual RPG Maker. We worked hard to steer away from basic RPG Maker MV features, there will be no boring repeating tiles, no stupid top-down only buildings, no lame 48x48px cartoon character, no stupid endless repeating MV battles. NO, this game is going to rock, so expect full parallax mapping, diagonal movement, realistic animated characters and events. Custom mini-games like hacking are in plans, and the battles will be something new to the RPG Maker MV scene. You are a convicted hacker that returns on Earth after a very long unplanned journey, only to find everything changed. Seems someone pushed the nuke button, then everyone else got frenzy pushing the same button. The Earth crumbled under the thermonuclear apocalypse and life under the good old Sun became suddenly complicated. Everyone caring about his own life took a leap of faith and started to live in underground cities, where filtering systems provided clean air, constant temperatures and potable water. Most people don't leave their underground cities, going outside is only for military, scientists, adventures or thrill seekers. Note: Adult content is expected in patreon only builds (we would like to stay in line with patreon guidelines and prevent builds containing restricted content available to underage people). FishboneGamingLabs Posted February 16, 2018 Author Posted February 16, 2018 Friday Update (0.6.3 + extra_dlc) New build 0.6.3 released. Download Ethereal 0.6.3. Many bug fixes, new maps, new characters and some Adult Scenes included in the separate dlc file. FishboneGamingLabs Posted February 17, 2018 Author Posted February 17, 2018 Another update: Ethereal 0.6.3b Changes: Two new maps added New monster: Desert Scorpion New character introduced: Alia "CherryBomb" Blackwell Lag fixes. Quests difficulty adjusted: Only 5 items for mech scraps and scorpion venom required to be found. Fights menus simplified a little, less repeating actions. Adult scenes added. Known bugs: The character could lag badly on some maps when using mouse (solution: wait a little to clear the pathfinding queue or use the keyboard). The character could get stuck in some objects/corners etc. As a temporary solution use keyboard directional keys to "escape". The camera is not following the character when using the keyboard directional keys. Scorpion stridulating sound almost can't be heard. Adult video not playing. Notes: In order to unlock the adult scenes, the separate dlc file (extra_dlc.asar) and must be copied inside the EtherealDemo_0.6.3\resources folder near the other asar files.Download the extra_dlc.asar.

herpman Posted February 21, 2018 Posted February 21, 2018 How is the adult content generally accessed in game? Dialogue trees? Combat?
FishboneGamingLabs Posted February 21, 2018 Author Posted February 21, 2018 It is event/quest based. Some content is going to be provided via a linear route while some content is going to be provided on a more random basis. Also some content will become available (it could be played over and over again) and new scene characters added monthly once the main characters will achieve a specific progress. Some examples I'm going to provide here, spoilers ahead: Once Jack has its own operation base, there will be a room for Virtual Reality pleasures. Sky is the limit here, new VR girls will pop up from time to time to entertain you. Achieving cortex chip implants will provide a personal assistant that could be more or less kinky, and maybe with a random personality. There will be a brothel/bar house. With new girls willing to perform and affirm themselves on stage. As the combat system is in early works we are still undecided on the path, but we are currently debating to include some battle characters that could lose/rip their clothes in battles somewhat similar to what Malise and the Machine has.
FishboneGamingLabs Posted February 26, 2018 Author Posted February 26, 2018 For now yes. What platform do you have?

Primarily OSX (Mac), I do have a gaming computer with Windows 10 and boot into Linux occasionally. If I could point to a platform I would love to see added, it would be OSX.
FishboneGamingLabs Posted March 9, 2018 Author Posted March 9, 2018 Pushing forward with development, just wrote this Friday's game progress, if you have time please feel free to read about and provide feedback. Don't be shy and let us know what you think, just don't start bashing on everything with the "MV sucks, I hate it" hammer. https://www.patreon.com/posts/friday-update-17453005
FishboneGamingLabs Posted March 16, 2018 Author Posted March 16, 2018 Another update on the development progress. The battle system we are working on is based on the Match3 randomness mechanics, we have a lot of hopes on this one. https://www.patreon.com/posts/17595337
