subtitles Posted January 5, 2018 Posted January 5, 2018 Hi all, I'm struggling trying to find out how to import my animated object data into Wicked Whims. I can't find any tutorials on this. For reference, I'm using this double bed from EA (it's base game compatible). I've animated the top sheets. I'm new to animating for Wicked Whims, but I've been pose-making and animating for a couple years now. I'm so impressed with how so many animators here can churn out new files at such a quick rate. Is there anything I can read to help me familiarize myself with this? I've lightly read on the XML stuff and it looks incredibly complicated

I order to have your animation show in game, append your object as normal but when selecting the s4studio meshes you need to select the rig too, Once it's placed in your scene, select its rig from the list at the top right and change its setting from object mode to pose mode, highlight all all bones (a) and lock rotation, when creating this keyframe you'll be asked 'whole character?' if done correctly and it will be recorded in the dope sheet as "transform bone" for animating, When you're ready, save your object in the same way as you do for the actors, eg. If you have 2 actors in your clip then you end up with 3 blend files to export via Sims 4 studio, In studio and s4pe you need to treat the object as another actor, setting the tick count and duration as normal, When you've come to the XML it has a line for object animation clip, this is where the clip name "(your name)_posepack_lotsofnumbersetc_set_..." Sounds can also be added to objects in exactly the same way as the actors too! Good luck and I hope that this helps out!
