Sexout requires NVSE Extender v9 but you have v0

Hi,

I recently updated several mods including SexoutCommonRessources, SexoutNG Core & Data, and NVSE as their requirements. Following that, after loading a saved or starting a new one I get this message:

Sexout requires NVSE Extender v9 but you have v0

 

 

 

I used Nexus Mod Manager to handle all installations.

 

The load order is:

 

 

 

The version of the mods can be seen on this screenshot:

 

 

 

Does anyone have a hint on what I did wrong with the last batch of updates?

You used NMM, that is your problem. But, honestly, NVSE and its extender need to be installed by hand if you want them to work properly, all in the right directories.

Alright, I had indeed forgotten that NVSE and the extender did not install with NMM.

Having the same problem. Using FOMM instead but downloaded NVSE by following the instructions. Help?

Do not use an installer (FOMM or NMM) to install the NVSE extender OR the modified NVSE. You will need to download the files, unpack them them, then manually put the included files where they are supposed to go based in the instructions in the link (NVSE Extender files goes in the data/NVSE/plugins folder, and the modified NVSE replaces the existing NVSE located in the fallout new vegas folder where the FoalloutNV.exe (the original game launcher) is located.

I installed NVSE from silverlock. I used winrar to unpack then extracted all files to steam>steamapps>common>fallout new vegas. Then I installed the custom NVSE build by prideslayer, overwrote the vanilla NVSE with his/her files. Then I downloaded the extended files into the proper files.

 

Where did I go wrong here?

When I manually put the two dll files (nvse_extender_ng.dll and nvse_extender.dll) into \fallout new vegas\Data\NVSE\Plugins the game crashes just before actual gameplay starts (meaning I can get to the main menu and even watch the intro when starting a new game, but it crashes right after that).

 

If I don't have those dlls there, I get the "Sexout requires NVSE Extender v9 but you have v0" message, but otherwise things seem to work fine. Ditto if I just put them in \fallout new vegas\Data\NVSE\Plugins\NVSE Extender

I encountered this same problem with the version 0 instead of version 9. After a lot of of trial and error with reinstalling NVSE V3 beta, I noticed "NVSE Extender v11" on the

link that I'm sure we've all gone to for the most recent file link NVSE V3 beta.

 

Long story short, following directions and putting NVSE Extender v11 where it's supposed to go fixed my problem and I no longer received the version 0 instead of 9 message. Animations worked fine afterwards.

May be you guys installed a wrong NVSE with a wrong version of Fallout NV. Try to use the latest NVSE for Sexout, downloaded here in the forum and update the Fallout NV to the latest patch too. If you guys already have the latest version of all, may be reinstall it again will fix it.

Well thats interesting.... I did confirm that I had the latest stuff, but downloading the beta version fixed things- sort of.

 

Now I just flat out crash as soon as I see the spinning ceiling fan.

 

HOWEVER I am able to load a previous save, and can play normally from there. Sort of irritating but I can live with it.

 

Still, any ideas what would cause that behavior?

Huh.

 

On a lark, I decided to just save as soon as humanly possible after starting a new game, and... I didn't crash out.

 

Now I have a different issue, although I'm not at all sure whats causing it*.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Gibberish! But only for mission updates (thats what I'm assuming those are).

 

*For what its worth, I bought New Vegas off of Steam.

It looks like you may have accidentally got the wrong language version of some mod or other. I've done that myself more than once and see the same thing.

Doubt its causing the problems you're reporting, but you shouldn't be running XPM and Lust at the same time. They overlap and don't like each other much.

The SexoutDocMitchell mod has a Russian version, that's probably what you're seeing. Make sure you have the English version, and try again.

ok, i dunno whats going on here, i got the newest NGcore, and updates NVSE and the extender, they installed correctly(i think?) i dont get any messages like i used to, the one that says "v9 you have v0" is gone, i fixed that, now i have a different problem, i used to play and no sex animations would happen, like at all, now the animation starts kinda, like the 2 NPC/PC or w/e just stand there forever staring into one another souls or something, when i switch back to the old core, everything is fixed, not sure whats wrong, help?

I don't see much wrong with your LO at first glance, except that there's quite a few of them, which may or may not trigger the 'too many esps' bug. The hard 255 limit in other Beth games doesn't count in FNV.

 

Other than that, you're probably best off going over the various requirements for NG again, even if you think you've got them right:

- astymma's skeleton

- NVSE 3b2, installed to your game root folder, where the game exe is

- Pride's nvse extender plugins, installed to your data/NVSE/plugins folder

- SexoutNG Core and Data, newest versions

- and well, loading the game with nvse loader too

ok so, i checked everything, i have all the requirments for NG, and i still get the two people just standing there forever... maybe, i'll just re-instal the sexout mods again from a clean save see if that helps

I installed the NVSE from http://nvse.silverlock.org/ and did it exactly how i was told, put the .dll and .exe into the game folder, but i still get the "you are using NVSE v0". I have noticed some subtle hint about something else i need to download, but i cant seem to figure it out. Help please :3

No. NVSE from silverlock (nvse.silverlock.org), version3beta2 goes into the fallout new vegas folder (the one with FalloutNV.exe).

 

The NVSE Extender (http://www.loverslab.com/showthread.php?tid=5965) goes in the ../fallout new vegas/data/nvse/plugins folder. If the folder doesn't exist, create it (the folder path should exist if you have installed MCM as is required by sexout).

Hey, sorry to repeat, but I couldn't get brutal rapers to work...fully, the text would appear saying things happen but nothing would occur.  I realized I was missing v11 so I put the two files in the v11 folder into the plugin folder and now whenever I load a save or start a new game it crashes.  I take the two files out it works but says the v9/v0 NVSE issue.
