Followers allergic to Helmets and Gloves?

There has to be some mod installed, or option I selected at the start of all this, which causes your followers helmets and gauntlets to disappear when not in combat. This also affects other modded clothes that use those tags, causing them to flash in and out of existence. Does anyone know which mod does this and how I can get it to stop? I have tried reinstalling a handful of mods I held suspect but no cigar as of yet. Thanks!

I would have sworn it was an option in FNIS when I first installed it, so I went through all of those but no cigar.

I know its not the most common thing to want your followers to wear *more* clothes but what can I say, the dragonbone armor really does it for me
