One sure way I know is to use paint.net to make a transparent .dds file. (Other programms might also be able to do that, but from paint.net I'm 100% sure it's able)

And afterwards simply add a "NiAlphaProperty" to the NiTriShape in nifskope and you're done.

As far as I know it does make the entire texture transparent so you might need to edit your mesh a bit, unless someone else here knows a different method since you've stated you wanted to make some transparent point.

Now it has been a long time since I have tried this but I got it working a good while back following this advice:

"Edit the mesh using nifskope.

Find the part you want trasparent

Go - right click -> node -> attach property -> nialphaproperty (you can leave the settings default)

then you'll need to edit the texture to have an alpha layer.

open texture in PS go to the channel tab and create a new channel (it normally creates Alpha1)

White = 100% Solid & Black = 100% transparent

Use white/grey/black to adjust how transparent you want the part."

It seems you have missed the edit mesh part.

thanks to answer. and i solved it with object tool. give the transparent infromation to object.

Aah well I am glad it helped, I deleted my post because I was not sure if it would work for DoA5... I had thought this was for skyrim.
