CTD when accessing inventory/cooking pot.

Like the title says getting a ctd, press I and boom desktop, whenever I try to open inventory. It also happens when I try to open an item like a chest.

Don;t know what's causing it. I did the  safety load fix in the ini. I have Crash Fixes. I tried deactivating all my new mods. Help please.

Have you tried opening the console and typing in player.removeallitems and hit enter which will remove everything from your inventory and then try to open the inventory. I think I always use the tab key to bring up inventory and magic list and pick the one I want.

weirdly enough it doesn't happen when I open my magic up. But I'll give the item removal a try. If it works what causes this?

One of my experiences on inventory crashes was I had too many high poly outfits in there and when I scrolled through the list for a little bit the game would crash but if I dumped them or placed half of them into a chest the crash went away. Bad mesh files can also cause this if your mouse pointer hits it's name in the inventory.

 

A crash opening a chest or inventory might also be caused if a mod is adding stuff to those places.

Well I do have a couple of outfit mods, but I didn't think I'd have any considering I started a new game. The fix worked but I do lose all my mod added items too.

If that worked then something in your inventory is causing it. Does any mod add anything straight to your inventory? Does the crash happen if you start a new game and try to open the inventory? If the crash happens on a new game then I would look at the mods and try and see which one might be adding something to it or might be causing you to crash when it's being opened.

No still happened later when I tried to loot a barrel. I'll try getting rid of my outfit mods
