bumble3 Posted December 3, 2017 Posted December 3, 2017 Hello, I have encountered an issue with my bodyslide: No matter the body I batch build, the ingame bodies keep using the standard CBBE Curvy that I picked when first installing CBBE. I use Mod Organizer, loaded Bodyslide from the executable and have tried to put the builds in the Overwrite/meshes folder as per the solution posted here: https://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/1638338-mod-organizer-with-cbbe-bodyslide/ But that does not seem to fix my problem. I also have HDT-All-In-One installed and tried to use one of its bodyslide presets before trying to build my own, but that one didn't work either. johnny2by4 Posted December 3, 2017 Posted December 3, 2017 figure out where the body nif files are going. mod organizer will generally drop the newly built nif into the folder containing the original mesh its overwriting. so check meshes/actor/character/character assets in the bodyslide and outfit studio folder (left panel) for the generated body nif when you build them. if those are your built nif and not the generic ones that come with bodyslide, then there's an overwrite somewhere further down the chain. right click the folder, information, check conflicts. if those aren't the meshes you built, then they're either being put into another folder or they're in a file tree that isn't correct. for instance, if you hold ctrl when you batch build i think it will generate a calientetools folder in overwrite and just drop the new mesh in it. you'd have to hand place them in the correct file tree to fix. point is the mesh have to be in the meshes/actor/character/character assets filetree for the body and whatever the tree is for the outfit you're building the new mesh for.

I made sure that that is the case. They are currently sitting in the overwrite folder, correctly labeled and loaded. I even checked if the meshes were correct with Nifskope, and they were- and Bodyslide and HDT-All-In-One even list them in conflicts as overwriting the ones that come standard with those programs. Logically, there shouldn't be a problem with the way they're loaded-- yet the game refuses to load them anyway.
johnny2by4 Posted December 3, 2017 Posted December 3, 2017 ah, quick idea then. check your skyrim install (steam/steamapps/common/skyrim/data) and make sure there aren't random loose body files in the meshes tree. then go to your right panel in MO, data tab. follow the tree to your body meshes and make sure the ones listed there are the ones in your overwrite. those should be the ones showing up in game, if not then all i can guess is that MO isn't working for you.
bumble3 Posted December 4, 2017 Author Posted December 4, 2017 It would seem that MO is simply having a fit, then. I don't see what else could be causing it. Thank you for your help, anyway!
bumble3 Posted December 4, 2017 Author Posted December 4, 2017 Just wanted to pop in and say I managed to fix it by manually removing all bodyslide-related files out of my overwrite folder and putting them in a new .rar that I linked to Mod Organizer and set to overwrite everything else. Damn it, overwrite folder. You had one job.
