Ark of Truth Posted August 19, 2012 Posted August 19, 2012 Ashal already stated that there was no point in separating the two boards because hardly any of the mods here are even for Fallout 3. He added prefixes for people to tag mods as Fallout 3 or NV. Its not his fault people don't use them. And I thought this poll was about Fallout? Why merge Skyrim and Oblivion that's just stupid beyond belief. You really want to merge the two largest subsection together into one? The amount of time which would be needed to go through and separate them would require the subsections be disabled to stop people messing with it while its being done, which would also require the site to go down. Why is it only a "few" people seem to have the finding stuff issues around here. Most mods here are clearly marked for FO3 and FONV. Reading the readme or description helps too
Kashiwaba Tomoe Posted August 19, 2012 Author Posted August 19, 2012 And I thought this poll was about Fallout? Why merge Skyrim and Oblivion Well same thing really, two separate games, etc. as for the mention of Dawnguard, that's an expansion pack, so it'd be akin to shivering isles or KOTN for oblivion, very quickly considerd part of the game always.
Ark of Truth Posted August 19, 2012 Posted August 19, 2012 But Oblivion and Skyrim are not merged and don't need to be. I really doubt Ashal is going to merge the Fallout 3 and New Vegas boards when he has clearly stated no and added tags so people can tell the difference. Fallout 3 only has a handful of mods compared to New Vegas coming on over 100. Face it Fallout 3 is a dying game, hardly anyone mods it now.
Guest user29 Posted August 19, 2012 Posted August 19, 2012 New vegas has a lot of content, but fallout 3 really doesn't have enough to warrant a board.
Guest Posted August 19, 2012 Posted August 19, 2012 The current system works fine, I see no reason in changing it.
gregathit Posted August 19, 2012 Posted August 19, 2012 Please don't make me read through the 1300 plus threads in the Fallout 3/FNV subsection to try to separate out what is what. It would take me an entire month with no time to sleep or eat to finish it. I beg you, please....don't make me do it! If you have any compassion....any mercy.....please.....nooooooooooooooooo!!! [goes and curls up in a fetal position babbling incoherently]
Kashiwaba Tomoe Posted August 20, 2012 Author Posted August 20, 2012 I really doubt Ashal is going to merge the Fallout 3 and New Vegas boards Um.... they ARE merged' date=' which is what this poll is about. Wait, you mean these mods actually have readme's and descriptions?? where did they hide those? and here I thought the names were enough. This sums up why. Please don't make me read through the 1300 plus threads in the Fallout 3/FNV subsection to try to separate out what is what. It would take me an entire month with no time to sleep or eat to finish it. I beg you' date=' please....don't make me do it! If you have any compassion....any mercy.....please.....nooooooooooooooooo!!! [[i']goes and curls up in a fetal position babbling incoherently][/i] Simple: Let folks request the thread be moved as nessacary, old innactive threads can be moved much later (if at all)
Triratna Posted August 21, 2012 Posted August 21, 2012 New vegas looks catholic to me. Split them and I'll dominate the whole loverslab F3 board all for myself. This ain't bragging, see if i don't.
TheoryoftheDead Posted September 5, 2012 Posted September 5, 2012 Feels like it would be rather pointless, as people have already pointed out 99.99% of the Fallout mods that are being worked on this page, are for NV.
johneb Posted September 6, 2012 Posted September 6, 2012 It would make it more simple to find FO3/FONV mods and have coherent discussion about whichever game without mistaking one for the other.
Kashiwaba Tomoe Posted September 9, 2012 Author Posted September 9, 2012 It would make it more simple to find FO3/FONV mods and have coherent discussion about whichever game without mistaking one for the other. Indeed, and the fact that the vote is also split so close (currently nine in favor of a split, eleven against) shows there is definitely some desire for the move.
