Hardcorelauch Posted November 22, 2017 Posted November 22, 2017 Just asking if there is some way to get "smoother" turns when moving the character. For me it just clips into the needed Animation when i, for example, let the character move forwards and then press left/right. There is no actual turn, just a realy ugly direct switch form the "Move forward" Animation to the "Move forwards left/right" Animation. The same thing applys to switching between running and walking. By default, my characters walk, so whenever i trigger the "run" key, they ugly-switch to the running Animation... If anyone has a fix for this, help would be appreciated
TextSoaked Posted November 22, 2017 Posted November 22, 2017 Yea, the character just snaps in the direction. I've been looking for a mod to add a smooth transition too. Would love to see one in the near future or find a pre-existing one if anybody is willing to point me in the right direction. Thanks.
Blaze69 Posted November 22, 2017 Posted November 22, 2017 If you use a controller and don't move the joystick too fast when changing direction, the transition should be more or less smooth; it will also allow you to go from walking to running gradually instead of as a toggle. That's the only way, and AFAIK this behaviour can't be feasibly replicated with mouse + keyboard. Could be wrong about that, though.
Azazellz Posted November 22, 2017 Posted November 22, 2017 I think it's impossible to add "smooth" transitions like in Fallout4. Because Skyrim just do not have proper animation events for this.
Redswift Posted November 22, 2017 Posted November 22, 2017 Check out Realistic Animation Project - Movement. It supposedly has 360 degrees walking and running animations so it should be what you're looking for.
Guest Posted August 24, 2019 Posted August 24, 2019 I was just looking for a mod that would offer smooth transitions too. I'm surprised no one has done this yet. It could really take animation in skyrim to the next level.
