AlexW95 Posted November 19, 2017 Posted November 19, 2017 I'm not sure if this is the correct place to ask this, since it is my first post here. But since I do have mods from this site I wasn't sure if I should post it on nexus either, but here it goes. My game is incredibly unbalanced. My character gets one-hit killed (sent to bleed-out) most fights, unless with clearly leveled down enemies from older dungeons, and my hits, be with a sword or bow, do little to no damage. While this wouldn't be a problem if I look at it as a difficulty problem, I do like to have at least one follower with me, and most often than not she is incredibly powerful. So much more powerful, that most fights, if she didn't one hit kill all enemies but bosses, it devolves into me going down into bleed-out immediately if I even dare to use a sword instead of firing from afar, leaving her to fight with 3 or 4 enemies at once. This was painfully obvious once I went to Yngvild, when my follower got stuck behind a wall, and had to teleport her to me once I ran out of arrows (that had been gathering the whole game), and she swiftly proceeded to crap on all Draugr, ghosts, and Frost Astronachs. From which I was unable to get a single kill. Here's the modwatch: https://modwat.ch/u/AlexW/plugins Please help.
Seijin8 Posted November 19, 2017 Posted November 19, 2017 The only mod I see there that should have a heavy effect on combat behaviors is Duel (did you use the hardcore version?).
Lodakai Posted November 19, 2017 Posted November 19, 2017 If your difficulty is set really high.. this is normal. you will receive extreme damage and do little damage in return. You can either reduce game difficulty or do one of the following. A quick fix would be to add https://www.loverslab.com/topic/18950-sexlabutil1-2015-03-28/ Sexlab utils... It will give you some neat tools and you can toggle on augmented health in the MCM to boost your hp by 500 (maybe 1000 not sure.. i edited mine). It's not game breaking because your health no longer regenerates on its own. You can reduce or increase it with xedit. You can add other mods that either boost your AC, boost your hp, or even out the damage scaling so you no longer take severe damage at higher difficulty. ETA: On high difficulty.. having low armor skill really shows up like this.. so you need to train your armor and use heavier armors.. or find other ways to mitigate damage.
AlexW95 Posted November 20, 2017 Author Posted November 20, 2017 I thought that Duel only messed with enemy AI, without touching health and damage and only changing stamina, but I guess I was wrong. I've disabled it and installed SkyRe Combat alongside Ultimate Combat, hopefully that solves it, haven't tried it out in depth. Also it seems that it WAS the difficulty as well, since I was playing on expert, and that affects how hard it is for me, but gives the same bonus in HP and damage to all NPC's including my followers. So I'm going to have to set the game on Adept or lower and let a mod mess with all that.
Lodakai Posted November 20, 2017 Posted November 20, 2017 https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/55531/? or if you want something with a bit more depth.. https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/30505/?
AlexW95 Posted November 21, 2017 Author Posted November 21, 2017 Man, sweet! This will be so useful, I think you just solved my problem. I'll have to play and tweak it as I go along, but this is exactly what I needed.
AlexW95 Posted November 23, 2017 Author Posted November 23, 2017 It didn't help, they were still OP. But the Ashien Rings mod helped me out. not as in depth as I wanted since I need to settle with 75%, 50% and 25% debuffs, but it does make me feel less useless as dragonborn.
