I just learned that PPSSPP supports texture modding. I've been waiting for such a thing for a long time. I figured we could use this post to host various texture mods people made for PPSSPP.

If you want to edit textures just use GIMP or any image editor that supports PNG and transparency:

OK! So now on to the mods I've made.

The 3rd Birthday(US): ULUS10567

The third damage level of every outfit except Lightning Custom have been edited to reveal more of Aya:

 

Black Leather
-Exposed right breast

Monster Hunter Freedom Unite(EU): ULES01213
-----------------------------------------------------

Just extract and drop into your main PPSSPP folder.

*This is the main file structure if you get mixed up:
Main PPSSPP folder (where the .exe is)\Memstick\PSP\Textures\ULES01213

*Make sure you have Replace Textures turned on. (Main menu -> Settings -> Tools -> Developer Tools) It's the last option. Make sure you have an updated version of PPSSPP as the old ones do not have this option.

*If you don't want to use a file just delete the .png or remove its line from the Texture config file

*This is for the EU version! Please make sure you use this with the right ID number "ULES-01213"

Minegarde Vest(Clothing Type 04):
This makes the underwear for all skintypes using the Minegarde Vest topless. All the other underwear sets are untouched so you can use them if you want a clothed option. Removing the bottoms is bit of an issue. Part of the texture overlap so matching the area above the butt changes the area around the calves and there's a weird lighting issue where the game applies a heavy shadow to the crotch. You can check the screen caps for what it looks like.
******If you want to use the bottom version I made one for the pale and warm skintones. Just open the BottomVersion folder and paste the Memstick folder in the game directory. Overwrite any files if prompted. It includes the other mods so you won't lose anything.******

 

 

 

 

 

Famistu Shorts(Dummy leg set):
You'll have to use a code to get access to these since they were only in the JPN version. The data is still there and if you use the "All items in box" code you'll get the materials to make it at the shop. The shorts have Torso Inc and are colorable in in their S Rank version. They normally have the annoying Famitsu logo on the butt. I just removed it so you can have maximum fashion without being a billboard.

I also included a cwcheat code list that works on PPSSPP. If you just use the "All Items in Box" code you can buy all the armors in the game including the ones here if you want them early. Just drop the "ULES01213.ini" file in:

Main PPSSPP folder (where the .exe is)\Memstick\PSP\Cheats

*Enable cheats on PPSSPP's menu and select the codes you want. The code does have a slight bug. If you have an unupgraded item box(don't have the extra pages) You won't get all the items. The item box upgrade items can be bought as you progress the elder quests. I think once you beat Tigerex you get the last upgrade. The upgrades also carry over when you import a character and restart. The item box code does overwrite EVERY ITEM in the box. You'll get 99 of them plus even the supply items you normally get from the quest box.

*This was tested on an unpatched JPN version. For those of you running the ENG patch it should be fine since it's just a texure overlay.

Hot Springs Bathing Set:
The Towel set is replaced on all models to reveal the breasts of female hunters. Works on all skin tones. It's colorable on the S rank. This was the only model I could use to reveal the breasts as the others didn't have the parts underneath.

 

 

Female Face Type 09:
Changed the brown eyes to blue. There was only two blue eyes types so this is for variety.

 

 

Tigerex Greaves(Blademaster):
Removed the front chaps and wing tips on the calves. There is a small issue with empty space on the calves but the texture wraps well so you can hardly tell. I just wanted to give a revealing bottom to Blademasters since Gunners had all the slutgear in this game.

All three versions include the other mods so you'll have all the other textures. Just pick the one you want and drop the Memstick folder in your PPSSPP game directory. Overwrite the old files if needed. Nothing is lost or changed. Just adds Lightning and alters the Texture.ini so the game loads the right ones.

 

*Bonus Completed save file. This has all the costumes (fully viewable) and cheats unlocked, plus the shower scene viewable and even the secret camera. To use the save just drop the memstick folder from "Completed Save" folder into the game directory and overwrite as needed.

Again this is for the US version of the game (ULUS-10567) You can use it for any version you'll probably just have to change the hashes and edit the texture.ini.

This is really neat. I bet you could mod Yu-gi-oh Arc V Tag Force Special (or any of the other Tag Force games, for that matter), and put whatever art you wanted on the cards.

That'd be great for me, because I only ever want to play with cards with cute girls on them, and Gemini Elf, Dark Magician Girl and Ebon Magician Curran aren't exactly the strongest cards ever printed.

Rescue Rabbit-chan is from a drawing by Haruka of circle Reborn. The background is taken from the actual Rescue Rabbit card. I didn't change the small texture so I can recognize it in my hand, but you can edit those too if you want.

 

Additionally, I found the tutorial Kulado shared helpful, but I didn't really understand what I had to do until I read this tutorial:

It uses the same textures but PPSSPP uses an overlay and doesn't change anything in the ISO directly. Unless you can extract and repack the ISO, the answer is no. PPSSPP only right now.
