brmorse26 Posted November 15, 2017 Posted November 15, 2017 So i couldn't get my mods to work in game, and yes they are enabled and it was updated to the most current version. 1.36.102.1020. Suddenly i just updated to 1.36.104.1020 (what it says in game) and my mods still don't work or even show up. Did anyone else just update or know why there's suddenly so many that mods and scripts don't work??? Please do not direct me to the "Installation Mistakes". Been there, done that. So irritated! Any help or suggestions would be super appreciated!
NisaK Posted November 15, 2017 Posted November 15, 2017 The sims 4 cats and dog update changed a bunch of things. Most trait mods are still broken, old script and even clothing mods (some cc clothes causes the arms to clip into the sims's torso because of a new bone EA added to the sims) are likely not to be compatible without an update. If you are as sure that you updated your mods as you say you are (and not just the game) then one of your mods likely isn't compatible with the new update. Only choice is to uninstall your mods in increasingly smaller sections to try and pinpoint the mod that's crashing your game. Yes, it's time consuming. Yes it sucks. Maybe you can try looking into if sims 4 creates some sort of error log and see if that helps you narrow down what's causing you to crash. Edit: as for the newest update that was just posted, my modded game was working before today's update and it is still working afterwards. About to play more to make sure it's all still on the up and up but at first glance it looks fine. Edit 2: To give you an idea of how much the cats and dogs update broke my old mods. I had to update over 400+ of my mods to make them compatible, most through a batch program, but a few manually as well. It was a pain in the ass but after a few days of working on it and with the help of a few authors releasing updates for their own mods, I got everything in my game working again. Only about 122 of my mods didn't need to be updated.
