In addition to Primrose's secret, you now have the option to have fun with Nell after her transition into her new role as of the previous update. This month's update brings us to the end of the Leanan Sídhe's story, finally answering the mystery behind who she is and what she's trying to accomplish. We also get a new scene with Belle, and the final puzzle piece needed for next month's update gets introduced. This version features what I consider to be the best animations I've made for this game so far. I'm clearly still learning, after all this time. With this out of the way, there's minimal story remaining before we head into the endgame. I'm excited. How about you? Enjoy! Changelog 0.28.0: You can now return to see the Leanan Sídhe one final time. Added a new scene with Belle. It is now possible to obtain Perversity 5 without doing the night scenes. Oh boy, this update really turned out to be something special, I think. It's not the most significant update in terms of gameplay length (far from it, in fact), and it doesn't contain even a single new sex scene. What, then, makes it stand out? First of all, version 0.29 finally lets you confront the Crone about all the secrets she has been keeping. Who is she really? What is it she seeks to achieve, and why? You're about to learn the answers to all those questions and more. The LLtP community has speculated about the Crone and her identity for a long, long time. A rare few people got it almost entirely right, but most have been off in one way or another. We'll finally be able to lay those theories to rest this month. It feels great to finally reach this conclusion that we have been working our way towards for so long. You'll find that I laid the groundwork for this update already in the first few versions I ever released of this game. Second, I took the plunge, at last, and polished the hell out of the menus and the early parts of the tutorial. I believe that first impressions are incredibly important, yet those have always been LLtP's weakest point. The main menu has been dominated by Princess Placeholder, a generic Daz model that was never really supposed to be in the game. She's gone now, replaced with... something else. You'll see when you boot the game up. The tutorial got a minor rewrite alongside a series of new renders to replace the ones previously used for Evelyn's and Primrose's introductions. Evelyn's new renders are mostly just a facelift. The old ones looked like the kind of crap inexperienced devs make with Daz, which makes sense. After all, I was inexperienced myself when I made these. Primrose's new renders are a more significant change, and one for the better. There is also a brand new, though short, intro sequence before we see Evelyn for the first time. Even if you've played the game before, I strongly recommend at least checking out this new opening. We also have a brand new music player in the gallery. Now you won't just unlock sex scenes as you play the game, but music as well. Any musical track you come across automatically unlocks in the gallery, allowing you to listen to them at your leisure as well as look up their names and composers. Handy! This update contains a lot more than just this, but it's mostly minor things. Still, these small features add up, with the end result being a far more polished, professional game experience as we prepare to head into the endgame. Ooh, that's a nice round number. It sounds like the ideal time to round off and wrap up the final content before the endgame. If you already glanced at the patch notes below, you might have noticed that they are shorter than usual, especially when compared with last month's update. Fear not, it's not because I suddenly grew lazy or anything. Quite simply, I put almost all of my focus this month into making a ton of renders for just two different scenes. Only one earlier version of Long Live the Princess has had more new images than this one, and that was the big Evelyn update. There are 336 new images this time around with a lot of animations. I also feel like the renders themselves are incredibly appealing. I hope you'll agree. As mentioned, there are two scenes in this update. This is what we've been working our way towards for the past three years. All these story threads are about to come together in an explosive climax (in all meanings of that phrase). But not quite yet. This update covers the events of the day before the coronation of Princess Selena, starting in the morning and ending when you go to bed at night. Don't expect any massive story revelations here. We are merely setting the stage for the next two updates, both of which are going to be very dramatic indeed. However, you will have to make a series of choices now that will affect what happens later. Will you make the right ones? Use the new option you'll find in your home in the morning to start the events of the endgame. This option is available from day 45. For now, you will not be forced to start the endgame at a specific date, but can choose to start it whenever you feel like it. This is a concession while the endgame is still in development. As of this version, the Android version is no longer a third-party port. I'd like to offer booom313 a huge thank you for his work in porting the game up to this point, but starting now, Long Live the Princess is officially supported on Android by myself. I'm taking steps to make the game feel more suited to touch screens, including replacing references to clicking with tapping, and so on. The clue and inventory screens have also received an update to feel more natural on such devices. You no longer have to use your finger as if it was a mouse. Instead, you can simply tap a clue/item to see its description, and long-press it to present it in dialogue. The downside to me taking over Android duty is that your previous saves on that platform are unlikely to work. I'm sorry about that, but it's unavoidable. Saves made in version 0.31 and out should remain compatible in the future, however. I have also made considerable improvements to several of the existing sex scenes. These improvements include more frames of animation, improved physics, wet effects on the penis, and often more movement, in general, to make these scenes feel a little less stiff. If you want to see these improvements, use the gallery on the main menu and look for the following scenes (minor spoilers, obviously): The first meeting with the Fairy Queen. Belle and the Shrink spell. The Fairy Queen in her pond. The first sex scene with the Leanan Sídhe. Evelyn blowjob. Sex with Callie in her room (temporary). Sex with the new Fairy Queen (temporary). The scenes marked as temporary are using interpolation for improved framerates. I will replace these with manually improved animation and other features in the future. Additionally, many other scenes have had their renders improved with the new wet effect on the MC's penis. Please keep in mind that the events of this update are incredibly complex compared to what you're used to. Most of these scenes can play out in dramatically different ways (and some scenes may not show up at all) depending on the choices you've made earlier in the game. This makes it difficult for me to test every possible permutation thoroughly. If you find that the game suddenly refers to events you never saw in your save, please let me know. The endgame is here. This version focuses exclusively on finishing Callie's story in the game, finally allowing you to romance her. This may open up additional options for you during the epilogue. Callie's new content can branch out into two new paths depending on your choices throughout the game. You may have already locked out one of the two paths in your save. In addition to numerous dialogue changes and an expanded epilogue, Callie has three new sex scenes. Two appear only in one branch, while the final scene only appears in the other. In other words, you cannot obtain all three scenes in one single playthrough. A minor change to how Evelyn awards charisma and a new potential charisma reward for seducing Callie makes it much easier to obtain the game's best endings without being forced into any romances. Enjoy! Changelog 0.36.0: Added three new scenes with Callie featuring two new, mutually exclusive relationship branches to explore. Expanded the epilogue with more outcomes for players who pursue Callie's new scenes. Callie is now romanceable and is another potential source of charisma. Updated dialogues to reflect changes to your relationship with Callie. Moved Evelyn's charisma gain. It is no longer necessary to enter a relationship with her to gain charisma. The first night scene with Evelyn is now optional. Removed silver and gold pieces from the game. They still exist in the game world, but not as a game mechanic. Remade and repositioned the button for toggling camera perspectives. It should now be easier to spot. Updated to the latest version of Ren'py (7.4.4). You should not notice any differences. However, Windows XP is no longer supported and LLtP is now 64-bit. There is still a 32-bit executable included. Various tweaks and fixes.
