NPC disappears during Sexlab animations

Hi Everyone,

 

This issue is getting worse.  About 70% of the time now, NPCs will simply disappear at the start of a sexlab animation, be invisible throughout, and reappear at the end of the last stage.  It's always happened occasionally but lately it is chronic, random, doesn't matter if on a bed or the floor or the ground, NPC can be male or female.  Sound is good throughout.  Not a CTD issue, nor a texture issue (I think) NPC can be stock game NPC or custom follower.

 

I tried the disable/enable commands from the console, tried cleaning sexlab, etc.  I suspect a mod conflict / load order issue but with 182 active mods that becomes a needle in the haystack exercise.

 

I'm willing to do the heavy lifting myself, just looking for a clue.

Update: I believe I've discovered a link between the frequency of NPCs disappearing and the CTD fix toggle on the Sexlab MCM main tab.  More research to follow.  Mrod 10/29, 1541 UTC

It's a HDT problem.

 

You have some badly written xml's and/or too many hdt objects (NPC bodies, armours, hairs etc etc) in your game.

I don't mean to necro this thread but I'm having a similar issue. Thing is, I'm not using any of the HDT stuff. It's during one of the werewolf sex animations. As soon as it starts, the NPC or character in the female position disappears, or really fades away. When the animation is over, they reappear again. This isn't a nude suit issue either. I don't have that engaged at all.

 

It's the only werewolf animation that doesn't work, the other 3 work just fine. Just wondering if there's a workaround or a setting I'm missing.

For me it's the same as Mrod23 but the npc's disappear only out of the building or beyond the ground. I mean out of the collision like a wall. They are still in the same cell, I can move to them with tcl.

My female actors disappear completely after sex animation now. Just did a complete fresh installation rebuild of the whole game and mod list. Never seen that before in 9 years of playing. Disable/enable doesn't seem to work on her. It's like she stops existing.....

Just test by disable HDT, if problem not occur - you may need to edit or change your xml file.

I just want to confirm that disabling HDT SMP fixed this issue for me; however I have a follow-up question; does this affect other things like clothes and bodies(I use BHUNP) in any way if I just leave it disabled?

I never use HDT SMP, the thread are about problem from HDT PE.

You had may have to try on your own or start a new thread.
