I reloaded fallout 4 with the new runtime and new F4se, now that things have settled down. I think... Try to launch through NMM and get a runtime expected  that says terminal + is disabled. I unchecked all mods and I still get this. What is terminal +

Hello, I'm not sure.  I know that nexus's website was recently updated... so Idk if that may have caused some issues.  Out of curiosity, why aren't  you starting fallout 4 directly through f4se instead of starting through a nmm link?

Nmm is starting thru f4se. I set it up that way. I found the terminal +.dll file in plug in folder. moved it out. Now no error message but game still wom't run. It starts but crashes before menu.

Yes I understand you are using NMM to start the game, but why are you using nmm instead of just starting directly through the f4se shortcut?

NMM is out of date, and the makers have been working on their replacement mod manager "vortex" for what feels like has been at least over a year if not two.  I'm not a heavy mod manager user but it seems to me that your first step in ruling out whether or not NMM is causing the problem should be by starting fallout 4 through F4SE directly and not through NMM.  If it's not NMM which is causing the crash then it very well could be a out of date mod which the fallout update broke.  Check your F4SE dependent mods and see if there is an update for them, but first see if it is really NMM which is causing the crash or not.

OK, I tried loading the game from the file fallout 4 application, loaded fine. Then I tried loading it with the F4se app. file, . The game starts for 2 seconds then crashes every time,, even with no mods loaded. Turns out the terminal + file was a left over from a previous version. So it must be the new f4se 6.0
