chakaru11 Posted June 18, 2012 Posted June 18, 2012 I'm highly surprised that this was not deleted when he was banned. odd that they ban him for uploading rips yet they keep the rips themselves. It seems that they randomly left a few of his mods up for download and took others down. Maybe they couldn't proof all of the stuff was ripped? Because a few things surely looked like they were, but not all of it. The entire matter is a laughing stock as it is. For all means and purposes, converted sims2 hairs should be red - flagged as ripped content too, since the EAGames EULA clearly state that all sims2 custom content belongs to them XD Same thing goes for the "elz more voice" and the "spell singer" mod, since they happyly use sound samples from Lineage2 and other licensed MMOs. But does anyone care? No. As long as there are no shiny armor or weapon meshes involved, it seems to be ok...

Since I know the SC games I am a litte supsicious about the whole thing, But I am not pointing any fingers here. What I meant is that the whole way of handling the "supposedly ripped content" ruses more rumors than it helps. What I am trying to say is: A lot of modders take heat for supposedly ripping stuff and then decide to leave the community because honestly? Sending all my files to a website moderator to let them take my work apart in search for ripped content? Not my idea of fun. Same thing happened to GOMA back then when he thought about releasing his Shining Will armor. Blew up in his face. And that's all I am going to say on the matter, I never meant to hijack this thread. Sorry.

I remember that goma incident, shortly after it I remember seeing a nexus moderator post regarding another set that goma did which was supposedly ripped but oddly the maps which were posted as proof did not match up sometimes I think those guys just get it in for someone and decide to force the proof

[/quote'] Mothing to say sorry for all i meant was if some one fake or take credit for some 1 elses work specially if it in volves taking a game apart then that person should pay the penalty if he or she is stupid enough to do it:-/ I am only started to learn blender now and it would be quite a while b4 i even can do what some of the modders been doing but 1 thing i will never do is faking mods and say its mine who knows some gamers will actually fake mods or a game and thats asking for serious trouble. ps If modders get banned its normally under suspision that they might have done something illegaly
