~♥~Lith~♥~ Posted October 6, 2017 Posted October 6, 2017 I am currently trying to find a new graphics card but I know almost nothing about the internal parts of computers. I have a Dell xps 8300 with all the default parts except slightly more ram. I need something under 200$ that will be able to run dark souls 3 at 40-60 fps on at least medium graphics. Anyone willing to help?

swmas Posted October 6, 2017 Posted October 6, 2017 Swmas any specific brand or does that not matter? Whichever has better specs for the price. Also look up other similar cards. Check videos on youtube you can learn a lot. I recommend the 1050Ti cause is good and doesn't need too much power. If you want to go even cheaper you can get a 750Ti I'm sure it can run DS3.
Azazellz Posted October 6, 2017 Posted October 6, 2017 Even 570GTX (with i5-2500k) can handle DS3 at 1080p (med-low settings) with average ~45 FPS. But you will have FPS drops (to 15-17) in some boss fights like Pontiff or Abyss Watchers. But there is one difficulty. At this moment it is difficult to find 570GTX =)
Guest Posted October 6, 2017 Posted October 6, 2017 If you're going to buy a NEW card, don't get the 750 ti. I've had it for about 2 years now and it's a mediocre card that won't last for long. You don't invest in a graphics card just for one game, do you? Look in this chart: https://www.videocardbenchmark.net/gpu_value.html - Seems like the GTX 950 is a good deal? If you can't find it, get a 1050 ti.
swmas Posted October 6, 2017 Posted October 6, 2017 Don't forget to get something that require little power unless you want to buy a new PSU as well.
~♥~Lith~♥~ Posted October 10, 2017 Author Posted October 10, 2017 Don't forget to get something that require little power unless you want to buy a new PSU as well. I ended up getting a GTX 1050Ti and my current psu seems to be handling it well. its a 460w one. might need to replace it if it starts having problems. but so far i can play Dark souls 3 and warframe at high.
