[Solved] Need help / advise: NVSE 5.1.2 is freezing my mouse

Yeah, I know 5.1.2 is listed as a beta right now,     (and I´m having this issue!)

and 5.0.3 is list as last stable version.      (all fine here!)

 

But actually some mods are using beta NVSE 5.1.2 as a requirement, already.

(Which is "SexoutSpunk" at least in my case)

 

Right now, if I install NVSE 5.1.2 and start my game, the opening screens are loaded fine, but that´s just all.

As soon as the continue/load/new/quit screen opens, I can´t do nothing.

The mouse is just freezed in the middle of the screen an keybord only accepts ALT+TAB / ALT+F4.

 

So as I went back to NVSE 5.0.3 and everything was fine again.

 

Any help out there on how to update?

Could you post your loadorder, and if possible your install order?

You might be missing a requirement.

 

It might be that a mod is off, because the old NVSE is installed.

I don´t think it has something to do with my regualr mods.

Since all these mod are working quite fine with old NVSE 5.0.3

It happened after I tried to update "SexoutSpunk"

This one wanted NVSE 5.1.2.

 

You can see, that "Spunk" is now missing, and as long as I´m playing with NVSE 5.0.3, everything is still fine!

 

 

This means, it´s only possible that older mods might be incompatible to the latest NVSE 5.1.2

But what mod could that be?

It never happend to me before, that old mods aren´t working with a newer NVSE...

And even more, I never had problems with mods, that affected my mouse / keyboard! (despite of crashing the game at all!)

 

 

Since I´ve opend this thread, I´ve just checked these:

NVSE Extender ( http://www.loverslab.com/files/file/553-nvse-extender-aka-nx/ ) ( seems to be up to date )

JIP LN NVSE Plugin ( https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/58277/? ) ( just updated )

 

But I can tell you, I did NOT update any other mods.

And I update manually, only!

 

 

Or could it be something compledly different, eventually not related with any older mod?

Hmm. Very complex issue.

 

One thing you might want to try is is installing these 3 mods.

The top 2 make FNV more stable, and less likely to crash

TTWFixes is a community-bug fix compilation, that aalso makes various stuff stable.

 

 

*Edit* I also can't see if you have patched your Falloutnv.exe to handle more than 2 GB of data.

Just to make sure:

I had no problems with stuttering or crashing while playing or starting before!

 

And I´ve never had any problems running TTW.

 ...But OK, if you suggest: I´ve tried to use your "TTW Fix". But the file could just not be found.

 

The 4GB patch is already in use

 

And at least, I followed your advice and downloaded the NVSE Plugins "StutterRemover" and "AntiCrash"

     Yesterday, everything was fine without SexoutSpunk and NVSE 5.0.3.

   Now, with these plugins, my mouse is frozen all the time and I can´t play at all.

I´ve let steam recheck my installation.

and the game won´t even start.

Thanks for your help.

Luckily, the shit fixed itself.

 

First, I´ve wiped every small file and folder, not relatet with my mods or the basic game content.

 

Then I´ve let steam recheck my files again, until nothing new was found.

After the last check ( Which was the fourth f******g check at all!!! ), no new files had to be downloaded again.

 

Then I´ve rebuild my ENB and NVSE, Re-enabled ModOrganizer and Loot...

...and finally upgraded to NVSE 5.1.2

 

So after about five hours of hatefully staring at my screen, the stupid shit just worked again!

 

You know, sometimes these this things just pisses me on so awful...

...I think I would explode, if I don´t shout it out...
