No Ugly Vampire Faces

Requesting help in finding the right mods to not have the goddamn sunken faces.

I used to have an ECE plugin, but I'm using RaceMenu now

As vor Vampire mods I've tried

Better Vampires - The only thing remotely resembling face change is a spell called "mortal mask" but it's not doing anything in game.

Dinamic Vampire Appearance -  It seems to deal only in textures, sunken cheeks are still there

Normal Dawnguard Vampire Faces - This was supposed to work according to description as it says it changes the used headmodel, but the cheeks are still sunken.

 

But nothing works

I'm using LOOT to sort LO since the last time I tried manually I was getting CTDs on load

Any suggestions?

I still want to customize the eyes though.

Not sure how this whole mess works when DVA uses one set of eyes on different stages, RM may be using another, there are vanilla eyes....

This is a bit confusing, but I guess next step is searching eye replacements

 

If anybody can shed some light on how do you deal with vampire issues though, it would also be nice

I just started a vampire playthrough, (again) with Better Vampires.

 

I'm using Subtle Vampire. I look like the first picture. No sunken cheeks or glowing eyes.

Now speaking of DVA...

I tried something.

Wanted to customize the eyes, use blue night vision vampire eyes instead of the orange ones

Tried extracting the contents of DVA's bsa file and replacing the glowing eyes for the blue versions

But now in-game I get green eyes instead

 

So what am I missing here?

How do I make DVA have blue night vision eyes?

Perhaps I should ask this on tech support?

I keep thinking it shouldnt be that hard, it's just replacing a few assets right?

Does anybody know anything about eyes?

I use Mod Organizer and have the Underworld Dawnguard eyes at the bottom. They overwrite BVFE and Subtle Vampire.

Better Vampires has an appearance setting, but I think that's for turned npc.

The Elder and Blood Vampires are still butt ugly though.

Nice...

So... I managed to make my dreams come true now

Had to edit the glowing vampire eyes nif files (nifskope)

Changed the emissive color to blue and now it works. Blue eyes, blue textures

 

And then made some further tweaks for another requirement I have.

So now, basically I have access to 3 different eye colors in game being normal vampire, the "stages" ones from DVA which I changed to a single one of my choosing and the glowing ones.

Been a fun ride but it finally works. Sorry to bother anyone with this.

Check out "KZ style" Vampires from the topic "BEST NPC OVERHAUL"  covers a fuck ton of the vampires and differentiates the elves from the human races; careful as it is a massive download and the file structure is a bit confusing, you need 3 separate parts if you are using unp based bodies.  Changed my game forever when combined with SOGS
