LOOT won't work with MO anymore?

I use Mod Organizer and naturally start up LOOT through MO to sort my mods.  Everything was working fine until yesterday.  I tried installing a couple new mods.  Then when I tried activating LOOT, a small window pops up like normal to tell me that "MO is locked while executable is running".  LOOT is supposed to open up shortly after but instead the window closes and I go back to MO.

It's like I'm getting a CTD with LOOT.  Bodyslide, FNIS and SKSE I open all in the same way and they function fine.  I really haven't changed anything or updated LOOT so I don't know why it's suddenly doing this.

Help?

Loot comes built in to itself (32bit Old Skyrim version).

Try using that version. It should work fine and I recently ran it on my old install and it is doing fine. Only real reason I know of for you to have the full install version is if you have some custom settings to run through Loot. I haven't had the need to run Loot separately for a very long time.

I never used that because someone told me it didn't work that well yet...

Try installing an older version of loot.

Why would that work?  The current version worked fine until just the other day.

Are you on a Windows Insider Fast/Slow Ring build ? Are Loot and Skyrim installed on the same drive ?

First question, I have no idea what that means.  Second question, yes.  Or at least I think so.

I haven't had an issue with Fallout or Skyrim (32bits though. Didn't do the 64bit or Skyrim SE and Fallout 4 MO that might indeed have some problems.)

It is worth a try if you need to sort your stuff. Worst case you make some changes as needed. That is what I do. Occasionally there are some things I want or need to overwrite another record etc, so I make those changes but it has done a good general job of sorting the plugins for the most part.
