Gray Face and Hands

My characters' face and hands are gray.  How do I fix that it so that the hands and face of my characters are normal looking in color?

this can have different causes, therefore it is always appropriate, with texture problems a picture to post.

I made a mistake in that I have also found NPCs with gray face and hands.

Consider reordering all your wardrobes and companions towards the end of the of the load list after their requirements of course. In a dark cave people are going to look grey. It's a cave. Anything that adds an overlay to the body should be at the end. Also looks like your muscle mod doesn't have a matching head mod.

Because it's why you're having problems, Head and Hands are separate from the body. I'd be willing if you saw the feet they'd be grey too, since those are separate as well. Your problem is texture related. Rebake your mips with Ordenator. It will increase file size but may solve your issue. Also, SL arousal will darken your players skin the less sex you have. I'm running an Altmer mage, who looks like a dumner, since she's sex starved.
