DarthPanzer Posted September 3, 2017 Posted September 3, 2017 Hey guys! I've been working day in and day out trying to get collision properly working in Skyrim. I've looked at all the tutorials and i've installed the havok object and yet, I can't get it working properly. If someone can link all the things I need, a tutorial that I a beginner could understand, or a program where I could tweak havok object or how to properly install it. I would very much appreciate it. Thanks guys!
darkevilhum Posted September 3, 2017 Posted September 3, 2017 Try one of these. Do NOT use havok object. It's super out of date and problematic. http://www.loverslab.com/topic/68009-all-in-one-hdtskinnedmeshphysics-setup-20-fomod/ http://www.loverslab.com/topic/54739-all-in-one-hdt-animated-pussy/

Appreciate the help! Edit: Which one do you use/ recommend? I'd recommend SMP(Skinned Mesh Physics) over HDT physics because of the quality of bounec/collision and all that jazz. There is a bit more technical fiddling required with setting up SMP so the bar is a bit higher for 'easy' installation. But getting over that hurdle allows you to customize and fine tune SMP to your liking much easier than HDT. So it's a trade off. Shit that was long winded. For example, I used HDT for a long time, had a character body with the typical breast/ butt bounce and vagina collisions ( which always sucked and never looked great ). Once I went over to SMP, I had the same stuff, but much smoother, and then as I experimented and played with the files, I eventually added bounce and collisions to my characters arms, thighs, calves, belly, collisions too. It's quite easy to do in SMP. SMP Pros: Way better/smoother bouncing Way better and more accurate collision detection Very easy to figure stuff out in the xml files and tweak to your liking or add collisions to other random stuff (armor/ objects etc) SMP Cons Can be CPU/GPU intensive if you're running a less than able rig. Considered not as stable or incomplete in comparison to HDT as the author of SMP never finished it. Stability mentioned above is questionable, if you keep at it you can get it running flawlessly aslong as your hardware isnt against you. HDT Pros Easier to set up as the it's the go to package for physics, so lots of different packages to choose from Variety as mentioned above A lot more support and help available as it's been around longer and used more widely HDT Cons Much harder to edit and tweak things to your personal tastes if you're new to the arena of HDT ( use JustForFun xml editor if you want a go ) Some tutorials littered around on this forum Collisions and physics arn't smooth, to the point of your HDT installation being easily bothered by changes in software/ hardware. (Janky physics, spasticated vibrating meshes etc) Not always, but it's sort of expected from time to time with HDT. TL:DR : SMP way better but requires some technical screwing around. If you follow the SMP ALL In One guide I linked and follow the tutorial + read through the thread you'll have absolutely no problem. Otherwise if it's too daunting, go HDT.

gangstamick Posted September 8, 2017 Posted September 8, 2017 So I'm going to be contrarian and say check out Bounce and Jiggles When you follow the directions everything works. Collision, Belly Bloat. Also the 6 nipple Khajit and no nipple argonian textures are great and seem to be canon except lizards don't have mammary glands. But hey, to each their own. You have plenty of options.

SMP's being more accurate but HDT having more tutorials available on setting up.
