One voice for them all ?

1. Is there a way to use one voice ( sound ) for all female/ or male.

 

2. What I want is a way to use the same Voice file for a particular dialogue, but all females would use it., and another voice file for same dialogue where all Males could, or would use.

 

3. It is not a problem to make the sound bite's, but if you make them for every NPC in the game, so they all can say for example " How Much ?" The sound folder get super huge.

 

   yet for simplicity sake, and time, and cost, I would be using that same sound bite for every male in the game, and one other female voiced "How Much ?" for every female in the game.

 

4. It is nice to have individual voices, and clearly that is a good thing, but a simple way to point to one voice from dialogue, and use it would be nice.

 

5. Probably a dumb question, but it is something that would help me.

 

 

EDIT >>> I suppose one might make and alias for males, and and alias for females, and another perhaps for orcs, and the other races.

 

  But then I would guess you would have to inject that alias into every single NPC the player talked to, and clear it after the conversation ended, I am not sure as to how complicated, or if this is even possible, as I am very much guessing on this idea.
