Dual Wielding

I was wondering if it was possible to add true dual wielding system to Fallout 4, at least for the melee weapons?

However this mod does not just add new animations, it replaces some old animations. So would it be possible to add these new animations without replacing the old ones?

I agree, melee fighting is made very half assed out of the box almost like they forgot to add it in until right before ship date. Melee fighting, companion AI and that dam baby Shaun are about the only 3 things I dont like about this game that havent been mod fixed completely yet.

It's not only melee fighting that is lacking from inability to dual wield, gunfights would be so much messier with dual gun wielding. At least pistols would be fine, when not in power armor, and while in power armor I think suck weapons as miniguns would be nice to dual wield as well.

Agreed but gun play is still fun and pretty fluid, melee is so dam clunky outside of vats. Even if the swings alternated hands and just increased overall damage a bit so it looked better would be a help. Guns could have done the same, if you have an off hand gun it could just target the same thing as your primary in looks but really just increase  your damage output.  Appearances are better than nothing. I love the game but Beth dropped the ball in a few spots.

Well honestly I cannot understand why they did not implement dual melee weapons. They had it in skyrim, the bottoms could have been right mouse for right attack, left for left attack, and mouse scroll for block.

 

Any how I am hoping for someone with better understanding of animations and fallout 4 modding than me to help implement such system. We do have a mod which could be used as base (my link at first post) Since we do have amazing animators, moders here in lovers lab.

 

Edit: Plus who the hell uses only one boxing glove really?

I totally agree, it was a big let down...swords are always more cool than guns in my world. A melle character actually can do some serious damage but there is not a drop of grace in the fighting animations lol

BTW.........Wasn't the whole point of the Demonclaw melee weapon EXACTLY for that purpose??
