lupus_hegemonia Posted July 19, 2017 Posted July 19, 2017 Hi there. I'm Lupus, I have a total overhaul guide for SSE in Nexus, while I'm helping with graphics several mods (like RLO, SuperbSerana, Yuriana, for example). Changing tree trunks' textures or leaves or making a custom skin or... its not that difficult (to me). What IT IS difficult (to understand how), is making custom textures for COMPLICATED objects like armors, weapons, statues, etc. Because, these have many-many different parts, all over placed (on the texture dds) and I can't "separating" them easily following another texture. So, how am I suppose to get the ACTUAL TEXTURES MAPS from an object? For instance, currently I'm trying to make a superb "demonic" texture (of my own) for the "Dawnbreaker". I don't want to follow OTHERS (authors' ) textures, I want to make exactly what I want on the actual maps. How am I suppose to get this sword's maps? Anyone? Should I have to open the meshes? Use a 3D program? What?
Azazellz Posted July 19, 2017 Posted July 19, 2017 You can export UV-layout ("net" with all edges and polygons) via NifScope.Right click on the object, next go to texture--export template.Result (.PNG file) will be located at the NifScope folder.
